So being in Bomber limbo here is torment other teams are signing players and finalizing their coaching staff and we are just releasing guys and no OC yet? I am dying here what are the Bombers doing

Tampering period starts on Sunday.

So we may see some last minute signings as we get closer to that date, or teams and players are waiting to see what other teams' offers are before finalizing things.

No idea why we don't have an OC. C'mon guys, do your job.

Yeah it's a puzzlement. Some of our players will get offers from other teams and we may lose them. Money will be part of the equation but some choices will be to be closer to home. Offensive players might want to see what B. Pierce offers in BC or if offers are made.

Lot's of TBD.

There are about 170 potential free agents on the list.

1. 50 probably change teams.
2. 50 probably never player another CFL game.

That leaves about another 70 that will re-sign with their current teams. Obviously this is just a raw math opinion based on what we see during every free agency period.

(The longer this goes on, the more I'm thinking it'll be Lapo... he'd be an instant fan favorite and huge hit at our home opener. He's the dude who first brought us the cup, remember!)

There's no rhyme or reason at this point, so you may be right. But Lapo was the one person who's been available this whole time if that was an option.

I have no doubt that Mike would snatch him up in a second, the theory was that Lapo was finally comfortable with where he's at and wouldn't want to leave his current gig.

Where is Lapo living now? Moving for an OC spot might be tougher, but if he likes it here, maybe its a positive, definitely can live for less here.

We' ve actually done more than in the past,
Vaughters, Jones and Mitchell are significant adds.
We've moved on from Bighill and Woli as well.
At this point a new OC would just muddy the waters so waiting a few weeks won't make a difference
I would have liked to see a oc in place prior to this as well.

Ottawa I believe, I read a comment awhile ago his wife likes it there and is not interested in moving away.

Close enough. Tina's family is from Selkirk. But they've been in Ottawa awhile now though and they have three school age (high school and middle school) kids that no doubt have stability and friendships there. Probably would be the hardest part.

Yes. Already way more FA splash than the past 5 years. Usually each FA we got 1 big signing and then crickets.

And we seem to be signing the middlings / questionables instead of huge $$. Which is a good thing, I think. We've tended to be grizzled vet or raw rookie with IMPs lately -- I like having more middling depth that may turn into gems, or at least solid backups for the eventual injuries.

I'm not sure we'll make any splash huge-$$ FA this time. I think things are pointing more towards us retaining both Kenny/Schoen, and probably Dobson too.
