If anyone remembers, I'm a McLaren fan (long-suffering).  Sunday was the best sports day for me since the '19 Bombers GC win.  McLaren wins the world championship for the first time since '98.  Almost as long a drought as the Bombers had before '19!  It was a very long race with lots of nerves after Piastri was taken out at the start -- I was more nervous than Zach Brown.

This year would have been perfect had WPG won the GC as well.  It would have been the trifecta for me!  (I won't say what the 3rd win was!)

And P.S., Max is the biggest DB in the sport since Michael Schumacher.  So many times crashing into a McLaren this year to try to preserve his lead or screw over McLaren.  Stewards finally got wise to it and started giving him penalties, but he still gets away with super DBery.  I hope they really bring the hammer down on him crashing into everyone down the inside next season.  Brundle was right, it wasn't Max's race, and to be crashing into front-runners fighting for a WC is inexcusable.

ICYMI, 2025 F1 season starts now.  Quali on tonight at midnight.

McLaren looking strong!  Them and Ferrari have the best driver line-up, but Lewis may be past his best-before date.

Red Bull driver line-up looks far weaker.  Lawson?  Really?  Mercedes driver line-up weak.  Don't these teams realize both drivers have to be very good to win the constructors?

Verstappen already teaching Lawson how to be a total douche.  He brake-checked at least 2 different drivers in FP2.  They'll probably work together to cheat all potential rivals off the road, like last year but on steroids.

Bump.  Yay!  In fact, double yay!  17 years of suffering.  (McLaren won driver and constructor championship for '25 yesterday.)

Now F1 has announced McLaren is the most popular team, selling merch, etc.  Hilarious how no one sticks with their loser teams more than a year.  17 years I stuck with them.  And I'll stick with them another 17 years even when they start sucking again.  (Minardi was my second favorite team a while back...)

Now onto the entirely new cars & rules in '26.  Who knows how that will shake out.

Welcome Cadillac and Audi (Porsche in disguise).

Nice to see Norris get his first title after a really strong season, and kudos to Verstappen for making it interesting going into the final race. He's an incredible talent.
Also a pretty cool aside that Stroll had the last DRS overtake in F1 history.

It was a really entertaining season overall, IMO.
