Elks sign Metchie. That's about 8 or 9 new starters in Edmonton. I guess their potential free agents are looking over their shoulders for new teams. That's a couple of big changes to their starting Canadians.

Eastern teams are losing quite a few good players out west.

EDIT: Now have added K. Williams from Calgary and Rugamba from BC.

It may take awhile to gel but this is the ultimate re-build.

Ottawa signs Lewis. That might put the Elks in the market for Lawler although they've been spending on others like a drunken sailor.

Both Lawler and Dobson have signed with Hamilton!

Son of a gun. That's not good for Winnipeg.

You'd think someone who's posted that in three separate threads could provide a link at the very least.

What a craptacular timeline.
Stewart Johnston is a villain.

Hamilton is going to be called Winnipeg East soon.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Again, not surprising when Goveia went there.  Giving his QB targets and protection is important.

Will he retain Dunbar?  Have to wonder if he has the budget.

I guess Dobson replaces Beard, still has 2 OL unsigned...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Nearly an hour later and still nothing on Dobson.

Throw Long Bannatyne

Prukop and Strev. still available.  I guess with injured players teams don't take a chance on them until they are fully recovered. They can't wait half a season for Strev. to recover, so likely use Wilson or bring Prukop back.

Wilson did fine SY, and he's developing as #2.  We need an AR and PR QB with potential to become a starter in the league, not a placeholder plug for SY.  I'd even like to see us go away from a SY QB, and train up Chris-Ike or Gauthier or even Willie as the SY guy.

Potential free agent list is not entirely up to date and accurate. Best I can figure is that the list is down to about 125 players. There are players on the list that could be of interest but need, salary and roster space are considerations. What I mean by that is the final rosters after cut down. No need to bring in 10 veteran DB's if they have no real chance to land on the AR as an example.

At this point we might be down to considering a couple of DL.
