Sure is quiet, probably hiring an OC in house or finding one from outside the CFL that nobodies ever heard of before. It's becoming the Bomber way not to chase after highly pursued targets.

That's true but he did seem to show some talent. Bringing him back for TC wouldn't have cost them anything. OTOH, we already have a few other younger Canadians fighting for spots on the AR.

We also have 9 other Canadians that are on the potential free agent list.  Hard to know just yet how many of those will be lost intentionally or otherwise.

I hope to see a couple or more on our list signed before the end of the year starting tomorrow.

Riders  probably taking a long look at this guy:

"FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas offensive lineman Fernando Carmona issued a public apology Sunday, one day after a viral video clip appeared to show him intentionally step on a Texas Tech player near the end of the Razorbacks' 39-26 victory at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis."

With NIL, portal exploding, Mike Locksley hires former Maryland star to be program's first general manager

The explosion of NIL and the transfer portal have made college athletics more professionalized, and not just in theory. With revenue-sharing payrolls of up to $20 million beginning this year, college programs are increasingly hiring general managers to oversee their NIL spending, roster management and recruiting.

Maryland football has joined that movement, hiring someone with deep roots inside the program to oversee operations. Mike Locksley is making former Terps receiver Geroy Simon as the program's first GM, a university source confirmed to Inside Maryland Sports.

The GM position is becoming a must-have for college programs, with head coaches hard-pressed to coach and manage their teams while also manage the constant turnstile of the transfer portal and how they spend money on players.

Simon, a star at Maryland in the 1990s who ranks second in school history in career receptions (185) and sixth in receiving yards (2,059), later became a star in the Canadian Football League before several front-office CFL jobs, including a stint as assistant GM on the Edmonton Elks.

It was reported earlier this week that Simon was set to take the GM job at Sacramento State, which has reportedly raised $50 million to fund a hopeful climb to Division I relevancy, but Locksley swooped in and snagged him.

Simon, who landed on Inside Maryland Sports' all-1990s Maryland football team, holds the program record for receptions in a game, with 16 against Florida State in 1995. After college, he spent a season on the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad before heading to the CFL. He won multiple Grey Cups and won the Most Outstanding Player of the year award once on his way to a hall-of-fame career. He ranks first in league history in receiving yards (16.352), second in receptions (1,029) and fifth  in touchdowns (104)

Wow Bombers lose another coach, guess it was inevitable some would follow Buck.  Time for Kyle to emerge from hibernation and make some good things happen.

Meh. I'm sure the WFC can find someone better to be the next OC.

We've waited until most of the obvious choices have been scooped up. He may have the next choices in mind, but we're in wait and see mode. The same goes for re-signing potential free agents. Bombers have signed 3 and the Als have signed about a dozen.

I guess it doesn't matter if we get back the ones we wanted to get back. To some degree other teams are spending their SMS and may not have money to attract too many free agents when free agency hits?

Buck taking an HC position and wearing 2 hats with OC duties as well.  Not sure this is wise.  Maybe Kevin gets the "Asst OC role"... guess teh Bombers didn't offer him OC after all.

Now that coached contracts have expired, no need to ask permission, we can go out and raid anyone not under contract...

Still want Lapo as our OC, sure he can fill out the coaches pretty easy.
