With the Bombers going to its fifth consecutive Grey Cup I think we will see many of the current Bombers will be inducted into the hall of fame when they retire. Who do you think will get the nod rating from sure things, to might have to wait and on the bubble.
My sure hall of famers are Colleros, Bryant, Jefferson, Bighill and Olivera
May have to wait but should get in eventually Nichols, Alexander,Costilio Neufeld, Lawler, Demski
Maybe but haven't played long enough Holm, Ford

To this point your "sure" bets absolutely deserve the Hall of Fame.

I would put Demski on the sure Hall of Famers list.

Feel a bit sorry for Demski, one of the best Canadian football players ever, but ends up playing in the shadow of Andrew and Brady. It would be great if he could at least win most valuable Canadian in a GC game.

GOLDMEMBER

I think realistically Demski needs another highly productive 1000+ yard season to be a sure bet to get in.
Same with Nichols, he needs another outstanding year.

To me the bigger question is who gets Ring Of Honor @PAS.  That's much harder to get into.

Collaros is a shoe-in.  Even Brady may need another couple of good seasons.  Maybe Biggie, maybe Willie.  But not guaranteed.

Stanley shoe in ROH. Heck he might be first of the bunch!

Stanley may be the first of these Bombers to get in the hall but Bighill could retire this year so he could get in before Bryant if he does.

Bighill promises to be back.

I honestly can't see him willingly walking away before home Grey Cup. And MOS will keep the door open for him as long as he wants.

Exactly no way Bighill leaves at seasons end. Kinda unreal but ya he'll be back for more.

It may not be his choice. Jones may have won the MLB outright. I wouldn't opposed to seeing Bighill as the rotation LB as a DI. That said, how do you fit in Ayers and Cole as well.

Free agency might decide things for us. All the LB's: Wilson, Jones, Cole and Bighill are potential free agents so SMS and free agency choices will be factors.

Zach was joking last game about Biggie becoming the future CFLPA president, with his history of involvement with the player's union and business skills I could see that happening, following in the footsteps of his ex-partner Soli.

TecnoGenius

No matter what happens you keep Jones.  If you can do Biggie as well, great.  But Biggie has to be on a no-bonus, high-incentive contract that gives us zero SMS risk if/when he gets IRed.

Kyrie may not be back, and Jones can do WILL with Biggie at MLB.

Lots of questions, but no need to worry about that now.  We'll have 4 months to do that in 2 days!

I would like to revise this list, Nichols needs to show a lot more before he would ever be considered a hall of famer.

Nichols has done no more than Chris Randle, both were good-great DB's but neither is going to the HOF or be immortalized on the ROH.

Nichols hall of famer??? I don't think he'll make our roster next season as if KW looks at the 3 positions that cost us the cup, his would be the first he should be addressing. Our 'other' DE would be the next, and another impact reciever to replace Schoen would be the third I'd replace. Man I would have given anything for Bailey out there on Sunday, he wouldn't have crapped the bed like others did.

Blueforlife

So easy to dump on Nichols after a bad outing.  Been nothing short of great for us in general.

Tiger

I like Nichols and probably our best DB (with FORDE GETTING CLOSE).  He had worst game of the season in GC. Nichols needs to do more.  FYI Les Browne is not in HOF.

Exactly what I was thinking.  We really missed Woli, Schoen, Bailey.  All 3 are guys who can make a short catch in the flat and hang on and take a hit.

Every single REC we had out there (except Pokey?) whiffed on 1+ catches when a guy whacked him from behind or had hands in there.  Demski & Kenny were never supposed to the be middle bruisers... and all our bruisers were injured in-season or cut in FA.

Wheatie & Pokey are Kenny-like and not "bruisers".  They are for the home runs and in-stride balls and soft zone holes.

Clercius may have promise as a bigger, tougher guy, but clearly he's not to Woli level yet.

If we had our "big 3" in (or even the 2 we re-signed), we likely catch 50% of those whiffs and sustain drives and probably win.  I was worried all season the loss of Bailey would cost us on the clutch/bruiser front, and it was only exacerbated by the IRing of our remaining 2.

The puzzle pieces for '25 clearly must include some more tough/stout punishing RECs.  You can't have a REC corps consisting of only tall skinny guys!

Clearly TOR film-studied Nichols to death and found his tendencies and weaknesses.  It wasn't just Nichols screwing up, it was that he was their favorite target -- and no one all season has done that!  Yet another sign that TOR out-brained us.

They tried picking on Bonds early but Bonds had his best game as a Bomber and they laid off him later.  Funny how things turn out, eh?

In-season our best DBs were Holm, Nichols, Ford.  Bonds may turn into a great one in '25.

Nick Taylor also stepped up in a major way and was very effective, as was BA37.  I wonder if Nick gets a backup role in '25?

Recent update from Sheed.

Talks about this past season at 38:00.

Goes full out Sheed at 1:04:40, he probably needs to dial back the intensity a bit, not everyone relates to his pain.
