Was not really a hard hit. He must have just gotten twisted up in the tackle somehow.

I think a DL fell on his leg with close to full weight. Unfortunate but it shows how quickly a player can see his season end.

He may not be ready for TC 2025. 6-9 months of re-hab.

Yuge.  Basically the moment TOR won the East Div, whoever was going to win the W Div was going to win the cup.

Arbuckle is the new Dinwiddie.  Kelly was the straw that stirred the drink.

I don't care what people or stats say: running QBs eventually get injured running.  Should have slid... will cost them a cup.

Hehe, maybe the lady he was harassing got a voodoo doll and was poking knitting needles in its legs!

His injury didn't cost them a cup, they would have lost anyways!! It wasn't their offense that won them the game today a TD by each their st and defense helped pave the way

Best sidebar is Dinwiddie is the HC of the team. Makes for fun trivia, IMO.

Big difference, 2007 CUp was Dinwiddies first start EVER.

Arbuckle is a veteran who has a lot of experience, and been a starter, and went 5/8 to finish out the game with the ALs pressing hard.

Its not a cakewalk, but it is a bit easier.

Not quite as Arbuckle has many games under his belt in the CFL. A little pudgier now though. Dinwiddie was pretty raw when he was thrown to the wolves in 2007.

Certainly not apples to apples by any means. I find it makes for interesting trivia to see a backup QB who had to play in the big game become a HC to then have to rely on his backup QB in the big game. I wonder how Dinwiddie approaches that challenge this week and how that could impact Arbuckle in his preparation.

The Bombers no doubt have the edge with Kelly injured, but I agree that it won't be a cakewalk. The Argonauts defense will still pose a formidable challenge for Collaros and co. on offense.

Hopefully, the result for the backup is the same as it was in 2007...

Hearing there is hope that Chad Kelly's recovery could be as short as 4-6 months but that assessment can't be made until the 10-12 week mark. #Argos #CFL

I was chatting with some Argos fans on TwiXter today and we were speculating that Toronto may re-sign Bryan Scott as their 3rd QB for the Grey Cup. The Bombers released Scott 2 days prior to the trade deadline which makes him eligible to sign and play with any CFL team in 2024.

Though the Kelly injury hurts, Argos can still do pretty well with just a competent game manager at QB, if that is what Arbuckle brings. They are good enough at defense and special teams to be in any game. We should remember that.

Doubtless that they bring in Scott for a brain picking session. I would if I was them.
