OK, so finally SSK ties the WPG number of wins at New Mosiac?

Stubhub going mental.  Listings went from 3247 at the end of the game to 3413 as of exactly 2 hours later.  Prices finally coming down a bit.  BC fans who were only in it for their team are going to try to maximize what they can get.  As usual, the guys who sell quickly by reducing the price will win out.

This will be a bloodbath of a buyer's market come game day.  That means the BC fans really thought they had a chance of being in it!

There will be some pickup the moment the SSK@WPG game is done in a week, but not enough to overcome the flood of sales, IMHO.

On the bright side for Vancouver, there will likely be no post-game riot because their team will not be in it.

Amar Doman has to be disappointed and can't be happy that his team won't be playing in the Grey Cup that he is hosting. He over-spent on his team, brought in Rourke and Betts and has probably gone over the cap to do it. If I was a fan of the BC Lions I'd be very grateful for an owner willing to do that. I'm sure he'll be wanting changes. So what will those changes be? I'm thinking of three people.

Rick Campbell - Didn't push the right buttons and may take a lot of heat for his handling of the QBs. 
Nathan Rourke - Didn't play very well and didn't become Moses leading his people to the promised land.
Vernon Adams - Also couldn't lead his people to the promised land.

If Mr. Doman gets rid of Rick Campbell who is available to replace him? Still I can see Campbell falling on his sword for the failure that was the 2024 season.

Nathan Rourke - Everyone is saying VA is going to walk and Nathan Rourke is going to be the guy. Really?
Vernon Adams - He may not be a consummate pro but he is likely good enough to win the Grey Cup with if you surround him with enough talent.

Campbell sucked way harder in OTT before losing the job there IIRC... and he brought them a cup during that time!!  Turns out he wasn't the problem (remember Lapo's short stint there?).

I would trade VAJ, roll with Rourke, rejig the REC corps, rejig the OL and figure out how to get a real running game (new OC?).  I would consider 2025 a "rebuild year" and state as much.  I think Rourke needs 1/2 a season or more before he'll be better than VAJ.

I'm just itching to find out what the cap overage is... got a lot of forum cred riding on that result!

I don't know how much cred you still have. Always one to come up with some sort of conspiracy theory or out in left field idea. I guess it makes the forum " active ".

Lapo is available as a HC candidate if BC decides to go another way.

Campbell has 2 years left on his deal so that's an issue in the salary cap issue with coaches / staff.  A comment on Lionbackers suggested demoting him but that's constructive dismissal so that's not an option.
