I think it's Trevor who has to look out and pray he doesn't get injured, not Zach.  Trevor is the true "glass QB": every part of him can break, whereas with Zach it's just the noggin.

And Trevor has to survive BC first.  And BC will be fighting like rabid dogs to get to the cup at home.

Maybe that's why they have Trevor throw within 2.5s 95% of snaps: if he takes even one sack or legal hit, he could be done for 9 months.  It's actually really smart; but it severely limits play options, and it's hard to sustain dink & dunk every series for 65+ yards -- even if you're the best in the league at it.

If Brown late-hits VAJ or Zach in the WSF/WDF and takes them out, there may be an actual bleepity-bleep on the field.  It won't be pretty.

Geez Tecno! You scare the hell out of me when you talk like that. I also think you underestimate Wilson. He is extremely mobile with very good speed. He can move the pocket and take off with it at a moment's notice. If pressed into duty he might be a nightmare for opposing defenses. Besides, if Brown takes out Harris he won't be playing in the WF. All his benefit-of-the-doubts are used up.
Go Bombers!

I see lots of empty seats for the game in Regina. Looks like even Rider fans aren't optimistic.

regardless of how you feel about the Riders this is just sad! How on gods GREEN earth can they not sellout a home playoff game with good weather? Pathetic!

Wilson may be the next Flutie.  But chances are if he has to take over in the WDF or GC, it's game over.  It's exactly the same for SSK: if Trevor goes down, they are doomed.

It's not depressing, it's just reality for 6 of 9 teams whose #2 is not a possible #1 (yet).  Only MTL, OTT and maybe BC have a #2 that can keep them in the game.  On second thought, forget BC.  Rourke isn't winning squat this year.

We chose to roll with Zach and just Zach and we now just cross our fingers and pray (as does SSK).  Luckily for us Zach has had a 99% healthy year and I see no reason why that shouldn't continue (knock wood).  (No, I don't think any of our backup QB roster can magically come in and look like Dru, so our couch-pickup is meaningless window dressing to help people's feefees.)

Especially since won't this be the first New Mosaic playoff game without WPG there beating them up?

AND many on their forum are convinced they are going to the cup this year.  If you think your team will easily beat WPG then why wouldn't you show up to help them beat what they perceive to be the harder BC team?

And why not reward your team and new HC for pulling off a miracle in taking the team from 2nd worst to 2nd best in one season??  Even if a lot of it was luck, they did a good job not sucking donkey rocks this season.

They've got a million suck-*** excuses over on Riderfans for not attending the game.

Here's some "great" ones.

"The atmosphere in the new stadium just cannot match the old Taylor Field. Used to be 30,000 screaming fans IN THEIR SEATS. Now you have tons of people milling around the concourse or hanging out in other parts of the stadium. The 2024 sports fan."

"This day and age? The Riders set an attendance record in the new stadium for the 2024 LDC albeit with thanks from the Winnipeg fans. The fans have "changed" because the team stopped winning and that will never change until this team starts winning again at least on a consistent level.

Consistent losing over the last two seasons is still pretty fresh in the minds of many fans as is our latest losing skid this season. If this team had sewn up first place with 11 or 12 wins laying an egg in front of the paying fans would be easier to take as well as understand but this new regime is still on probation and this last game was a not a good one to take the fans that did bother to show up for granted."

Boohoo, eh?

If they want more in-seats fans they need to sell 500 standing-only tickets like WFC does.

I will say anyone pining for their old barn is nuts.  The new stadium is infinitely better in nearly every way.  It's like us pining for CanadInns.  Ya, I miss it for nostalgia for sure, but IGF/PAS adds way more excitement, energy and atmosphere.

Brutal looks on those poor excuses. "Milling around" fans is a reason not to go? Well I guess you were never a real fan in first place is my response.

Plus the whole " we sucked for to many seasons" is just as lame. This is the CFL each team a has a chance to win it all each year. Especially a team with the talent the Riders have. The last game did they not rest a bunch of starters? Lol. What a joke display these "fans" are spouting out,

It really makes little sense they are staying away for a good tilt against BC. You might be right regarding playoff game against a non Blue Bomber team at the toilet seat?

I've said it before, as many have, but there is nothing in the CFL like a Blue Bomber home game atmosphere.  While I haven't been to every stadium I've been to 7 of the 9 and they don't compare to Winnipeg.  Love Winnipeg. Love the Bombers!  Just had to say it again.

Wow!  I have to up my game!  You've got me beat.  I'll be crossing 1 more off my list this year, as I'm GC bound!  I've stayed in hotels literally across the street from BC Place many times, and in-season, but for some weird reason never overlapping with a BC home game.

Sounds like a lot of lamewad excuses coming outta Riderville. Hardly a new development but still.

Your team makes the playoffs for the first time in three years and the "rationale" for not selling out a home playoff game is because of the new stadium and because two losing seasons still sting...?

Warning - Jayrock stirring the pot

1. Bombers have not won the west division yet, please stop saying that. They are ranked first, by having the best record, and this allows them to host the West Final, to see who will become divisional champions and move on to the grey cup.

2. My take on many members of this forum spending more time commenting on How the Riders are a dirty team, which they are not. How they suck, Or how they have not sold out games, is a good sign, and to quote my teenage kids, the Riders are living in your head rent free.

3. Play off game attendance, be careful what you comment on about sellouts.

Blue bombers have hosted 4 playoff games in the last 10 years, all of which were at the new stadium

current capacity of the stadium is 32,343, original capacity was 33,422

Sat Nov 11th 2023 West Final vs BC- 32,343, sell out well done

Sun Nov 13th 2022 West Final vs BC - 30,319 - not a sell out

Sun Dec 5th 2021 West final vs Sask - 31,160 - not a sell out

Sun Nov 12, 2017 west semi-final vs EDm - 27,244 - not a sell out

In the same 10 years Sask has hosted 2 semi finals and one Finals, 1 sell out 2 not sell outs.

Keep riding that wave of having a winning team to cheer for, the bomber fans that I know on here and call friends deserve to have something good to cheer about.
