Who is your preferred team that the Bombers will face for the West final?
I'd rather be a Bomber than a .....

I actually don't care.  I think we hose both.

That said, VAJ has the ability to get hot/lucky.  And if he's hot, he can put up 500 easy.

SSK is extremely good at the dink & dunk, but we figured out how to stop that the last time we faced them in the WDF.  Unless Trevor/SSK magically morphs into a chucker, he's incredibly one dimensional.  If we can stop the run, we should easily win as we eventually sneak Ford or Holm or Kramdi into the short pass lane and get an INT.

Lol, added a don't care vote option for you.

Based on stats and general sense of the two teams, SASK defence is much better than the Lions. More likely Bombers shove the Lions around and easier game to win. Beat BOTH their qb's quite handily this season. Plus if quite cold, BC is an indoor track type of team. BC's road record this season not great either, worse than Sask.

Might be another toss that hits the crossbar if we play Sask to the tune of Streetheart's ONE MORE TIME! ;)

Let them bash each other around next week. Heal our walking wounded, maybe get another starter or two back for the WDF. I will say though DO NOT START a former starter unless at least 90+% healed. One play can lose a game and I'd rather have a fully healthy player in than someone nicked that slows them down, especially on defence...Experience DOES NOT ALWAYS suffice if your wheels are too slow.

The Zipp

riders Defence is far better than BC.  Fully expecting the riders to win at home.

Before last week, I would have said Lions. They looked finished.

But now they look like they're back on track a bit, so I don't think it matters. Just going to hope the semi-final goes to triple OT and they beat the snot out of each other.

Haha, ya, I'll stick with my SSK vote as I think it's a guaranteed win against SSK, whereas with BC VAJ could get lucky.  I think we beat BC too, but there's always that luck factor with a hot/cold QB.  Easier to deal with a QB who is clearly just what he is in Trevor.

Great point, forgot about the weather.  Wimpy BC can't play in the cold.

SSK D is far better, but BC O is far more potent when "on".

Since our O likely won't put up much points anyhow, I'd rather face the team with the equally as iffy O.  So we both won't put up any points.  We'll just put up 1 more than them.

There's also the "third time's the charm" aspect to BC.  They've been scheming and trying to win a WDF against us for 2 years now.  This will be their 3rd crack at it.  Remember 2019?  That was us finally beating CGY in a playoff after 2 cracks at it.

BC's whole goal in life this season was to find a way to beat WPG in the WDF.  SSK is just happy to not be last!!

Oh ya, and Campbell knows how to win playoffs and cups.  Mace, not so much (coordinator doesn't count).

Sir Blue and Gold

I'll take the Lions on a cold, windy, snowy day.

We killed VAJ and the Lions 25-0 earlier this year, they come here in colder temps and VAJ's long ball game goes out the window and we kill the Lions again. The Riders will win at home and be tougher to beat in the WF.

Pigskin

The Riders have pretty much shutdown BO20 in our three games this season. BO20, 49, 42, and 43 yards rushing. There front 7 are pretty good.

Lions on a cold day.  But I don't think they'll make it past the Riders

I voted for the Riders. Lions have 2 QB's that if they get hot, they are both better than Harris. The downside is that the Riders have a much better defence and have succeeded in shutting down Oliveria for the most part.

Bombers go as Oliveria goes. When he gets 100+ yards we win. When he doesn't we often struggle.

Regardless, I think all the advantages are in our favour. An extra week of rest and no WSF means no new injuries from a game no played.

Home field advantage is probably worth 7 points. GO BOMBERS.
