Happy you mention Sheehan, some experts were overly critical of him earlier in the year, he is a good punter imo.

Good

Zach until that dirty hit.
Jones played great on defense.
We are in 1st Place in the West.
ALWAYS good to win in Regina.
Nic Demski had a good game.
No fumbles.
Sergio.
Punt placement.
Lucky Whitehead.
Special Teams.
O.L. played well.

Bad

The hit on Zach.
Called D.P.I. on that 2nd last play
That fight in the stands looked pretty vicious.
Absolutely no yards gained on that RTP.

Ugly

That hit on Zach.

Oh God.

Mods you have to censor some of this nonsense...  " targeting Bighills knees"

Bighill was reckless and his own actions exposed himself to a vulnerable position..  come on

Can't censor Bomber homerism -- this forum would have to shut down if they did.

That blows! Yikes! You'd think they'd be happy to have the extra revenue. I'm extra glad we beat them now. :-)

not sure what else you call it when a running back dives forward helmet first to hit a defender low. There was no effort to block upright. You have to know hes aware that he doesn't want to take bighill direct on. Whether it was targeting or just trying to take his legs out it was a dangerous play which ended up injuring another player

You'd think they'd have better luck waiting East of Regina right after the game ended!

By rule it's legal, as long as he's in the box and unengaged.  In fact, WR/FB/RB extra blockers get a special carve-out for this in the rules.  You can argue if it should be so... but going low is an important, if somewhat rare, tactic OLs use to keep keep DLs guessing.  And it does help if you're a tiny RB and you're tasked with stopping a 280 lb LBer on a delayed blitz!

Chop blocking is 100% legal. It's a very hard thing to eliminate in the game. Probably at least a dozen chop blocks per game that go unnoticed

Pete

I get that chop blocks aren't illegal but aren:t they usually done by the blocker going sideways and using his shoulder? The issue I had was leading with the helmut into the knee area. Is that not similar to spearing?
