I dunno, I think he's better than anything Hamilton has to offer right now. Also, I'd take him over Jake Maier who continues to struggle with consistency

I guess Masoli has moved up to #2 in Ottawa, ahead of Crum. He might still have some gas in the tank.

Strev will get you .500 consistently no problem, as long as he's not injured.  Like Tre Ford, that's hard to sustain over a full season.

.500 is basically the best you can ask of a backup who is not bound for a #1 spot in the next FA.

I'd have no problems rolling with Strev if Zach goes down a while, but praying it doesn't come to that.

If Collaros gets injured, I'm assuming Walters will go after MBT or BLM.

I'd just roll with Streveler this year and bank the savings for next year's run but that's just me.

I think the difference is that Strev is a runner who can throw if you absolutely need him to. While Ford is a QB who has excellent movement skills. I think Ford still has a lot of upside as a mobile QB, while Strev is a great piece for special situations and packages.

I don't even see Strev as a true second string QB. He's more than that, and less at the same time.

And I will say that Patterson will be the starter in Regina as they will not keep 39 year old Harris next year.

Seeing as how dolegala was cut by the Lions, the surveys says strev is the worst #2 Qb in the league, and that is a vote amongst bomber fans, yikes!! A couple of missed 3 rd down conversions and his stock takes a big hit

Depends on if T.Harris returns and lights things up and leads them deep into the playoffs.  Then he stays.  If he comes back and gets injured again and basically screws up their whole season, he's gone, ya.

But, to your point, if they ditch Trevor in FA, no way Patterson is the guy.  No way.  I'll bet money on that.  They will go out and chase down MBT or Alexander or Masoli or VAJ.  No one comes out of FA'25 with Patterson their #1 QB on purpose.

Maybe in 3 years.  But not in '25.

True dat.  Pithy.

However, Strev see himself as a true CFL #2... and a true #1!  Belief can go a long way.  I think Strev is like Rourke: when he's coming in as the #1 (due to injury), people get excited.  No one has any idea what to expect.

I'm thinking that most of the Dolegala votes would go to Crum
