He wasn't talking around the issue without answering the question; he gave us insight into how the team always handles the bye weeks and when they allow players to have more or less personal time beyond the league mandated minimum.

He's just being politically correct.

How is he being "politically" correct? Are you suggesting that he's prioritizing a nice vacation for the players over winning on Sunday and then selling it as sunshine? Or what?

I'm saying you have to take anything he says with a grain of salt. A big grain of salt. 16 days was a nice vacation. 17 is nicer but was it really necessary to shorten the practice week by an extra day?

We played on Aug 1 and the game this week on the 18th.

If anybody asks him about whether Lawler or Haba will play this week, we'll we expect to get anything besides " we'll see ".

He's evasive and not transparent.

Hahah the nerve of him! -- is it the horror of not knowing that consumes you? Or you think good coaches tell the fans their lineup choices a week before the game? It would be an excellent coaching move for the Lions to announce their QB starter today, if asked by the media, or do I have that wrong?

Start a thread about the weather if you want to complain about nonsense.

Kind of goes against what they were promoting before the bye, which was for players to remain tuned in during the break.

He's more evasive about that than other coaches. Example: Redblacks announced Masoli would start this week. They didn't wait until the day before the game. It's not like anybody expected Brown to be ready to play this week.

Riders announced that Harris is back practising. No expectation he will start but a specific statement.

That's not what we hear from MOS.

If you're good with that, fine. I'd like a little more transparency.

DCM

Until the CFL mandates that coaches have to reveal a lot more information, MOS being as close to the chest as he is, is his choice and has been for pretty much his whole tenure and he isn't going to change that any time soon, if ever.

At the end of the day, the very little amount of information that your opponent has about anything is better, regardless whether small or big.

So who sits for Lawler?...talk on twitter is Whitehead which I don't agree with at all...should be Johnson getting the bench.

Ridermania

Lawler back on the active roster and Lucky has been removed.

As per Doug Brown and Derek Taylor reports.

Will Rourke be ready to play on Sunday? Sounds like he's taking 1st. team reps.

I also agree, Johnson to the PR. Lucky gave our O a big spark last game.

Campbell has already admitted that it's likely going to be Rourke. His first practice will be tomorrow.

Rick Campbell to Global News: "Knowing Nathan Rourke, I think he'll be playing Sunday."

Stated once again that VA will remain a big part of the team and the club wants to make 2024 the best that it can be. Future bridges will be crossed when it's over.

J5V

Nice of Campbell to tell us but we would have prepared for Rourke anyway. Bring it on!
