I'm surprised that we're in the middle of the pack.

It doesn't measure how many we had playing at noticeably less than 100% at the same time we had injury replacements. I am sure we were the most beat up team in the league for first half. Stats are fine but as Yogi says "you can observe a lot just by watching".

3 starters on defence, 2 starting receivers and their FB. No depth at QB. It's going to be really interesting to see who can dress.

TJ Lee was out due to personal issue. He doesn't need to practice but could miss the game. Could be any of the usual issues, family issue, may a birth in the family or wedding. I'd guess he'll be back for the game but that's just a guess.

If a bunch of these players can't play, they're going to need to activate a bunch of their PR.

Two of the Lions best receivers ( McInnis and Hollins ) not able to practice. Even if they can play, they will not have had many reps with Rourke as the week progresses.

I'm looking for an Ottawa, Montreal, and Hamilton victory along with a Bomber win. If that happens we're right in the Western playoff mix. Go RBs, Als, and Ticats. Beat those Stamps, Riders, and Elks, respectively.
Go Bombers!

not sure if this was posted anywhere

"After joining Winnipeg in 2014, the duo of GM Kyle Walters and Head Coach Mike O'Shea have amassed a record of 99-68 (.596).
No GM/HC duo has 100 wins together. Their time with the team includes:
Seven playoff appearances
Seven double-digit win seasons
Three division titles
Four Grey Cup appearances
Two championships
Notable past duos:
John Hufnagel and Dave Dickenson | 73-29-2
Jim Popp and Marc Trestman | 72-54
Norm Kimball and Hugh Campbell | 70-21-5"

I guess Dickensen and Huff are a past duo. maybe.

Quote from: theaardvark on August 15, 2024, 04:37:25 PMOK, now do the same chart only counting starters/projected staters...  I bet it changes quite a bit.

Better yet, add in SMS salary weighting.  So Lawler gone for 6 with $275k salary gives us more "injury points" than Hallett The Injured gone for 6.

I guarantee WPG wins that ranking, even with many other teams having franchise QBs going down.  4 of 5 desired Rs going down, many in weeks 1-3, including 2 of the top-5 paid CFL Rs and Schoen for the whole season... it doesn't get worse than that.
Never go full Rider!

Toronto, Montreal, Regina, & BC all lost their starting QB's. They would have the biggest weight in your system.

Sir Blue and Gold

We had more injuries than average to start the year but it's pretty clear we don't now and probably won't end up near the worst off by season's end. Time to do some winning.

Is losing Chad Kelly a loss though? I bet the locker room improved.

Top 3 very likely to play IMO. Wheatfall will stay on IR or be moved to PR?

BC's injury report has been updated. Hollins and McInnis both practiced in full and are available. Beaulieu is the only player officially "out".
