On Lucky Whitehead...

...He (Lucky Whitehead) was clutching a T-shirt as he conducted his media session on Thursday given to him after practice by a fan. Featured prominently on the shirt is a photo of Whitehead with the fan from when he joined the zanies in Section 141 for the 2021 West Final here in Winnipeg and a Blue Bombers win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

"I'm super excited to run down there and obviously, get them pumped up," said Whitehead with a grin. "I'm going to get the stadium pumped up. Obviously, that's just my energy and my character. And it helps me to do fun stuff on the field within the game.

"If you see my catch something and I'm going out of bounds and I'm closer to the fans, I'm definitely going to get them pumped up any chance I get whether it's a one-yard catch or 30."

Can we hold onto the ball tonight - probably not!
How will our OL peform - probably a C- or D+
Can our front 7 get pressure on Adams - Maybe but he is very mobile and guys like Jake Thomas could not catch a turtle if they had a head start.

Maybe a little too pessimistic hope I am wrong. We have certainly gone through worse years in the past. Really sort of sucks though to see Chungh and Couture on their OL.

Yup. We turned things over once too many times.

Those guys made more than we could afford anyway. Had good money on Big Stand and showed we could plug and play quite nicely. It's only this year we're noticing a downgrade in the OL but for years ours was better than BC's with those guys. It's a similar situation with Desjarlais in Ottawa.

Yes, we are what our record says we are, and only the Blue Bombers can change that for the better.

I'm hoping to see i)high intensity, ii)ball security, iii)improved Oline play, iv)improved Dline play, v)excellent coverage, vi)strong tackling, and smart coaching.

According to Environment Canada it is 32C at the moment in the Peg and I assume the humidity is right up there also. Here in Calgary it is 30C but a nice breeze so do not have the AC running at the moment. And I hope Jake does have a good game as I was a little tough on him on a previous post. To me  keeping BC off the field as much as possible is the game changer. And NO turnovers!!

Maybe so, our guys have been practicing in decent heat. It may come down to who has the most depth on the line as the game progresses. Running around would be brutal, physically battling the guy across from you would be exhausting, and the D line rotates guys in. I m worried our hoggies will go down and we'll be into putting in nobbies on an O line that already is starting a noobie in Randolph. Maybe we'll see Jake in at guard tonight!!!
