The Roster page on the Bomber website was just updated. Sometimes easier to see "who is left" as opposed to "who is gone".

Or at least partially updated. There are some mismatches - for example, Tyrique McGhee still shows up on the roster vs. PR.

The roster will change before the 1st game. There are a few too many imports on the roster at the moment. Might be another couple headed to the 1 game IR?

Currently 7 import DL left: Haba, Garbutt, Jefferson, Upshaw, Adams, Fox and Woods.

M. Ayers made the roster at LB

M. Mitchell and O Wilson at receiver

T. Bonds and M. Bridges at DB. Karamoko ( global DB )

Canadians: Kelly, T. Ford, Samson, Schmekel, Charbonneau, Wallace, Chris-Ike and Clercius

Streveler and Wilson at QB

Lofton at OT

I think that adds up to 24 changes including a few PR players from 2023 or returning players like Ford and Streveler.

Rough count of players left is 49 so there will be some additional movement. Who and where TBD

I've never seen many of these players play. Hard to tell who is starting or becoming a DI.

A bit surprised that nearly all the import LB's were cut that I thought we're higher up the pecking order. Chris Smith not even making the PR is a surprise.

Michael Ayers is still on the roster too. He was listed on the Friday night rosters as a WLB, but he's 6'2" 220lbs. Could he could be a contender inside? I'm not sure if he moved around on Friday.

That list shows 59 players left including some reported as released outright, known players on 6 game IR etc etc.

Surprised how many Import linemen they hung onto on both sides of the ball, maybe they were racked with indecision. What is the point of keeping 3 Import O-lineman on the PR unless they need more time to identify Bryant's future replacement.

Pigskin

I don't see #27 Tre Thomas on either list. The kid had an excellent cap.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

I noticed that as well but PR lists change very quickly as rosters are declared. I also noticed only 2 Canadians on the PR and IIRC there is a minimum limit requiring more than that.

Several of both our 2023 and 2024 draft choices didn't even make the PR yet.

Might not have accepted a PR spot? I'm surprised as well in what the PR looks like at the moment. 3 OL is unusual.  We did retain Gemmel on the PR though.

Quote from: GOLDMEMBER on June 02, 2024, 02:33:20 PMQB Wilson hangs around. I guess the 26 year old showed enough.
For now perhaps. I don't believe his position is that safe. I would not be surprised if the Bombers pick up another Qb who has been released in the last couple days. Fine or Prokop would  be an upgrade. Fine would probably make more sense as he is younger and with Streveler here, Prokop plays a similar role.

He's in the cut list with Petrishen

There's just no hope for Prukop, he's had 5 years to figure it out and has not progressed, he's entered the Dom Davis zone.

LB crew of a special teamers and an often hurt import.  The days of a ferocious dominating LB crew are not here anymore. These guys are do your best, don't make mistakes and just play solid in your lane football.

Quote from: pdirks67 on June 02, 2024, 02:40:51 PMI guess we have no other choice right this second. I would think he's got a very tenuous grip on the QB3 position.

You can't expect or read too much from a first pre-season in year one. What were you expecting? I agree he didn't do anything incredibly exciting but we've guys pop off the page in pre-season and amount to nothing just as frequently.

What we want in that spot is someone with the right attitude who is a quick learner and approaches the game the right way. Most of those things fans can't really evaluate.

Year two is where we would want to see a big step forward in the eye test.
