The Ottawa Redblacks have released 20 players ahead of the CFL's roster cutdown deadline, including fourth-round draft pick Jahquan Bloomfield.

Ticats release Canadian DE Mason Bennett, American receiver Omar Bayless amidst final cuts

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have released 29 players ahead of the CFL's final roster cutdown deadline, most notably veteran Canadian defensive end Mason Bennett and up-and-coming American receiver Omar Bayless.

Bennett started eleven games for the Tiger-Cats in 2022, recording 28 defensive tackles and five sacks. His production plummeted in 2023, however, as he managed only five tackles and one sack over 14 contests.

Don't see Mason Fine as the future replacement for Zach, and that's the type of QB  they should be looking for this year.

I'm going ahead and predicting Collaros or Strevelers replacement is probably still a university senior this year. Strevy could be the replacement when Collaros retires.
Wait the keyboard GM's will say "he's not starter quality" without seeing what he's actually like after 3 years in the NFL scene. His first stint here he was a raw rookie and 2nd year player that displayed flashes of tools necessary to play the game.

WR Bayless: not sure what they saw in him in the first place.

Doh!  After TSN did that big feel-good segment on Faithfull as the poster child for the GLOB program.  Lol.  Him getting that 493-game-home-loss-streak-breaking FG.  Now: bye!

A GLOB kicker is an intriguing option, especially if you don't have a viable GLOB AR guy already.  Basically a kicker for free.  Of course, he has to be decent.  I think Faithfull was decent.  I wouldn't be surprised if he gets snapped up.
