I'm assuming Shoen is definitely out for the Grey Cup.

Probably, but there's little to base that on right now other than he didn't practice at all last week so he didn't appear close.

The air horns are mechanically driven, not by compressed air.  You have to pump them to make them work, hence the extremely annoying nature of them.  If they were run off a compressed air bottle, they could be continuous.

Horns are allowed as long as they are not run by electrical or compressed air.  A loophole that should have been closed.

Mechanically pumping them is compressing the air, so technically there is no loophole     Yes, air horns are indeed banned in the Canadian Football League (CFL). According to the CFL?s game day venue policies, air horns, along with megaphones, whistles, and other mechanical noise makers, are not permitted1. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and security of all fans and employees1. However, it?s worth noting that the enforcement of this policy may vary by stadium and event, so it?s always a good idea to check the specific rules for each venue. For instance, there was a discussion about air horns being banned from BMO Field2.

I like that Montreal has the annoying horns. Makes for a differencing factor and they are fun to dislike. A little flavour never hurt anyone.

It is flavour I guess annoying as hell flavour but flavour none the less. There will be more Blue Bombers fans there anyways. Als fans are to lazy to shout loud like a real football fan.

I'm pretty sure I didn't see or hear a single "French Horn" at the TOR game.  So BMO successfully banned them.  No reason The Donut Box can't.  I can't really see the ornery tough hombre HAM fans sitting there taking those horns in the ear all game.

So I'm optimistic we won't have to put up with them.

WPG wins 23-12 in a mostly-FG fest, maybe with a kick return TD by someone (or both).

Lemon went off end of the 3rd quarter and did not return, but was dancing in the post game festivities.  Probably just a cramp, he was running a lot.  But who knows...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

I understand what you are saying.  There is a difference though.  Compressed air is implying stored compressed air. This stupid horns that Montreal uses don't store compressed air, it's like hooking up a bicycle pump to a horn.  It only blows when you push the pump.

Otherwise, all horns use compressed air so nothing would be allowed (the compressed air being in one's lungs for any wind instrument).

Not saying it is right - I absolutely hate those Montreal horns on tv.  Just saying there is some validity to this being a loophole and not technically being the same as air horns using stored compressed air.

I rewatched the entire MTL@TOR EDF and there was not a single "French Horn" the entire game.  Thus I'm pretty sure TOR banned them.  Thus it would be easy for HAM to do the same.  I'm pretty sure the ornery HAM fans don't want that garbage in their house.

You would like to think so. It ruins the game on TV. TSN needs to standup to this crap!
