Official Game Day Thread - BC at Winnipeg - November 11, 2023 - Western Final

The OGDT is presented early for this important Western Final Game.

There are only 1,000 seats left available so if you were on the fence about going, you had better decide soon!  This will likely be the 5th straight sellout at IG Field.

Activities begin at 2:00PM CST when you can watch the Eastern Final with other Bomber fans at the Princess Auto Tailgate at the stadium.  There will be the usual $5.00 beers, $3.50 hot dogs and $3.50 soft drinks in the general tailgate area prior to the start of the Bombers/Lions game.

As of today, the injured players previously reported are now all listed as "Questionable" including...

Dalton Schoen, Ankle
Nic Demski, Ankle
Jeremy Murphy, Hip
Rasheed Bailey, Knee
Jackson Jeffcoat, Hip
Greg McCrae, Shoulder

Depth Chart and other game day information will be posted tomorrow but the discussion on the most important game to date can begin now.

Wha?  How did this go from his hammy to his knee?  If this is accurate then I would call this great news!  That would mean his hammy is fine enough to play, eh?  "Knee" could really be anything and not really major.

Unless... was Sheed listed as leg or knee in the last one?  There is still a chance that injury he got was knee popping... the clutching the hammy he did could really have been for his knee.  Argh, it's all making me depressed!  I can't wait until I see the depth chart in 12 hours that shows everyone is healthy enough to play.  Optimism!

Will certainly miss Dalton....hopefully Kenny will step it up big time as he seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder when it comes to playing BC.    We really need Brady to have a BIG game and keep VAJ and his high powered aerial attack grounded.

I think we win this game on the ground not in the air. Brady O is the best back in the league and BC is down to their 3rd string MLB.

Parker in for Rose is interesting, good to see Parker rewarded for his efforts the past month especially. I expect Wolitarski will have a big game as he has been getting more involved every game recently. if Bailey can't go Ambles may get in If Demski cant go that presents an issue of what import do we have to sit, unless Murphy plays instead. However I'm still in belief that both will play.
As for BC lbs Woods looked very good, and they still have Lokombo compensate for Hladek.

#30 Rose is out?  That's interesting.  Our DB's have to be on point to stop the VA3 air attack.

If Demski can't finish then we'd see O'Leary-Orange see more reps. Murphy might get added as an extra receiver but we're starting 8 Canadians so McCrae and Grant might rotate in more as well.

makes sense to me...BC has speed, Rose does not - Parker does.  That move alone could help us win this game.

That is helpful...because if all three can't go then we are simply out of players.  I think they will all play.

The team that has the best run game wins the West Final, IMO. The Bombers have the edge for obvious reasons. I think Oliveira has something to prove, so the offense should ride that momentum and let him bully ball his way to victory.

Schoen's absence will be felt but I think Lawler can fill the void - and he consistently plays well against the Lions.

Defense and crowd noise should make for a long day for Adams and co. if they can get to him early on.

I'm a Rose fan so I feel for the guy, but the speed factor is interesting for Parker. Hope he seizes the opportunity.

Sure hope only Dalton is out of all the receivers.

If Demski can't play, that sucks, because I was hoping we would see him in backfield plays to spell Brady and change things up on the ground

With the above, expect to see Johnny A get meaningful reps and not just garbage time (is there such a thing in the playoffs?)

I want to see Kenny view Dalton not being in as the chance to show the league why the Bombers are paying him big money. Play like a true #1 receiver, even if he's double covered. Go up there and turn 50/50 balls into 100% catches. Make some circus catches.
