Good-Olivera and the run game in general
        -sell out crowd again
        -beautiful night for autumn football
        -Shoen was huge
Bad- defensive play in the early part of the game
      - special teams continue to struggle
      -forgot to record game
Ugly- injury to Houston
       -Argo uniforms

Good
Brady O. Brady O Brady O
Oline on running plays
Parker,, decent on returns, then db coverage and even covered kick returns
Woltarski and Shoen
Short passing game much improved
Opening kickoff return scheme
Castillo
run stopping
Bad
Pass protection, their interior dline was pushing into Zacs face any time he tried to go deep
Collaros forcing deep balls
Dbacks giving a new qb (Dukes) and receivers too much respect, as someone said, let them earn the 10-12 yard cushions
Not enough pressure and containment by dline, (jeffcoat looked off, still hurt?)
Ugly
Wilson offside
Late hit on Schoen ..should have been roughing
Houston getting hurt
How many times do we give opposing returners the sidelines? Leak hit us again for 48 yards. Our scheme is bad

GOOD
Brady O is getting even better as thee season goes on...We need to feed him the ball, play more of that BULLY BALL
Special Teams seemed like the held Leake in check for the most part. (Leake and Grant are the most lethal returners in the league)
Run blocking was amazing.
Schoen and Woli had their hands tonight
Parker filling in for Houston had some key knockdowns and played great. (possibly injured too though)

BAD
Offensive line up the middle pass blocking was terrible.... Zach should have cussed them out on those back to back plays where he was drilled and then taken down the following play.
Defence on those 2 Ouelette plays was terrible but then settled in nicely

UGLY
I think the Bombers purposely allowed the Argos to get what they got, seemed that they were trying to equally mess with the Argos for sitting what 6-7 starters. I almost wish there was something the league could do about it but the circumstances/conditions of the game.
I don't think Kelly would have made the differnce in this game.

Run game
Bad
Zach at times
Ugly
Slow start

Good
Brady! Woli! Schoen!  The crowd was awesome and the orange shirts were great!
Bad
I don't think the team was "up" for the game as much as they would have been had Kelly been playing... knowing their starters weren't playing. They played just enough.
Ugly
Oline.  Neufeld got beat bad a couple times and ZC was running a few times.

Good - Cold weather, Grey Cup quality running game, Castillo's kicking consistency
Bad - Buck's unimaginative schemes to tame the Argo pass rush to protect Zach
Ugly - Didn't see anything ugly
Go Bombers!

Good:
-Oliveria. Showed up and ran hard. Was the best player by far this game.
-Kick Coverage. Outside of the low driving punt, I thought our cover teams played one of there better games of the season.
-Castillo. As much as you want drives finishing with TD?s, Sergio did his job and kept this game within striking distance for us.
-Run blocking. Oliveria seemed like he wasn?t getting touched until 3-4yrds past the line of scrimmage. Some nice holes opened up for him.
-Schoen/Wolitarsky. Both brought the sticky gloves this game. Both made some big catches to keep drives going.

Bad:
-Pass Protection. Call it a bad game, call it age, call it whatever you want to call it.. that type of performance is unacceptable especially this late in the season when teams need to start firing on all cylinders. Needs to be better.
-Defensive Line. Pressure seems to be lacking. Teams obviously game plan for our line (mainly Jefferson and Jeffcoat), but we need to find ways to get after the QB a little more.
-Bombers vs Rookie QB?s. This is becoming a norm now and it?s not for good reasons. A veteran Defence like we have, should be chewing up and spitting out these young guns, giving them real true tests. Hasn?t been the case this season.

Ugly:
-Houston injury. Hopefully he?s ok and doesn?t need to miss much time. Luckily we do have some depth at DB (Parker, Lawrence, Darby), but Houston is obviously having a big season.
-Drives stalling. Seemed like the offence didn?t have much problems moving the ball, but had a bad habit stalling around the 35-40yrd line. Game might not have been as close if we finish a few more of those drives instead of resorting for 3?s. Maybe not considered ugly, but with a high power offence like we have, 2 offensive TD?s with nearly 40mins possession, we could be a lot better there.

Overall, a win is a win and it was a much needed one. But if we happen to find ourselves back in the big game this year, and we play the Argos, we will need a much better effort on both sides of the ball to get to the finish line.

I think a big reason why we kept settling for field goals is the Bombers started a lot of their drives deep in their own territory. We seemed to be struggling with field position the whole first half.

Ugly

Our ST coverage did amazing on Leake.  Except for that one big return, Leake was fairly pedestrian compared to his average.  Our poor D starting position was mostly due to the lack of deep KO.  Most were falling around the 20-25, so when Leake gets the free 15-25 before our guys get down there and squeeze the gap, TOR gets pretty good starting field position even though no "mistakes" were made.

I've noticed part of the TOR ST secret sauce is to put a fast but beefy lead blocker ahead of Leake.  Then they both run fast together attacking the lone edge contain guy.  We should study which player(s) they assign to this Leake lead, and the STers should take note of where he lines up, because that could be the tell on what side Leake is going to take.  Then we can overload that side with an extra guy or two.

We should also imitate that ourselves: who is our fastest guy who has some beef?

As for the sideline problem: if you watch that return it's a comedy of errors.  The 3rd+ wave was all bunched up in like 10 square yards instead of spacing out, with everyone tripping over everyone else.  It's like keystone cops.  And no one except the 1st or 2nd wave bothers to take the rail, so once they beat that one guy, the rail is a free 40 yard run.

Why we don't work on solving this problem is beyond me.  Teams will keep attacking it until we find a solution.

Probably the worst I?ve felt after a win in awhile. Defense got shredded early, OL gave up too much pressure and outside of a few plays, no receivers got open. Kick coverage wasn?t that good either, despite having 2 DIs who are on the roster for that specific reason.

What was the hang time on that punt? It was line drive right to the returner on one hop. Any surprise our guys are spread out?

Watched the game a second time, remove the anxiety of losing from it and it was a good game.  Lot's to cleanup on, but much of what they wanted to accomplish they did, with a few hiccups along the way.

I agree, we moved the ball extremely well. Dukes really was only successful i the first qtr  The olivera fumble really was a 10 point swing, that normally doesn' t happen . Add in the  unlucky field goal bounce and the score would have been what we wanted. We did what we wanted to in terms of controlling the clock and reducing the time Toronto had  on O.

The good thing with the way it went down could
still  give the argos a  sense of complacency

A few people sitting around us asking why Buck went away from the run game for most of the 3rd. quarter. Also on one of ZC8 runs. There seems to be a mix up between ZC8 and BO20, ZC8 follows BO20 down the field for 8 yards. Would really like to see, DP12 running the ball on that type of play. I know it was a broken play, but ZC8 running scares me. Would to see bombers us DP12 more.

Zach said what went down in the post-game.  At the game I thought it was a designed run, and the press guys said that.  Zach said it was improv.  I believe Zach after watching it a few times.

It was supposed to be a play-action fake to Brady (or maybe a RPO) and then a quick pass to the right behind the LoS.  The pass rusher didn't bite on Brady and was going straight for Zach and it would have been a blow-up sack.  Zach deserves huge credit for his split-second thinking and making the most of it.

It's a good thing Brady kept going with his fake run to clear the way.  When he finally stops he looks back and is like "what is Zach doing on the ground behind me??".  Some of the OL is confused too.  That's the proof it wasn't a designed run!

It worked out, got 8y I think, and didn't cause an injury.  The guys should practice this as an escape route for that RPO in the future.
