Out of all the people to hate!   These two didn't lose you the game.  The pass interference sucked, but Kramdi played a decent game.  Your Dline played ok and Thomas made tackles for short gain, against Butler.

Specifically Kramdi cost us a TD because of the PI. That's 7 points. We lost by 6. Others messed up but you can easily build the case that play and change in momentum cost us the game.

Thomas had some tackles past the LOS but didn't get a sack. He didn't get constant pressure on the QB. That's not very effective.

I already mentioned that Castillo cost us a 6 point swing. Momentum change and again, we lost by 6 points.

Others didn't play well like Collaros. The OL didn't play that well and there was a lot of pressure forcing quick and bad throws.

You want to blame other players specifically, feel free. There were enough failures to go around but I highlighted the most significant ones. Giving up points ( Kramdi ) or not getting points ( Castillo ) you should have made is what changes a win to a loss. Rose and Houston didn't have great games either.

That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Whether Castillo and / or Kramdi continue to have / or had good or great seasons that is a fact in this game.

Well bc did what we couldn't...completed a comeback when given the chance...we had a shot to steal this game and flubbed it.

Thanks for nothing Lions.

BC and Hamilton showed energy and desire
, we didn't.

As of today we are arguably the 3rd best team.
We have so many great pieces, but our Dline is not good enough and our special teams are terrible top to bottom..look at what T.O and BC did to win...a missed return for TD and blocked field goal...both tip teams used special teams to get a victory...our special teams

McCrae  nearly returned a missed FG for a TD which we did end up scoring early in the season. However, you are correct that we didn't show desire on defence in particular. Very passive coverage and our DL is not good enough.

No Jeffcoat may have been the difference. Haba did have 3 DT's, 2 TFL and 1 sack which might have been more than Jeffcoat most days. OTOH he missed some changes to disrupt their offence more.

Jefferson recorded no stats.

Just checked stats and Cole, Clements, Maruo, Jackson and Briggs didn't record a defensive stat. I don't know how many snaps any of them got. We clearly lost TOP. In the 1st half by 6 minutes. I don't know that they were tired but lack of rotation probably didn't help. Vanilla and passive defence.

Jeffcoat may have been a difference, he is a great player, but we can not count on him, he just isn't healthy enough. We keep waiting for him and he keeps coming in dominating a few games then our play drops off..and rinse and repeat....

Yes Mc Crea had one return a few weeks ago and is now on the PR...he is not an actual viable answer..and our special teams are terrible on returns yes, but are also terrible in the other portions as well.

He will rest up and has the potential to finish strong.

There is no balance in what you or Blue In BC state.  Yes Kramdi made errors but he also made plays.  Not a liability overall imo.  I like to look at both sides of one's game, positive and negative.  Been lots of people throwing around the liability labela little too freely ino.  There are other factors in this game that contributed to the loss more, which to give Blue In Bc credit he did point out.

Seen this story before, suffer a setback and the forum piles on heavy.  Bad game but we will reset.

I don't see any team as exceptional.  Toronto, BC and Wpg started well but have shown they are beatable even by fringe teams.  The fringe teams are on the rise and the contenders are being challenged.  Makes for some very entertaining ball.  Ottawa gifted BC that game late.

You'll never admit reality. I've been patient with Kramdi but as a starter IMO that boat has sailed. Check the other forum and I can't find anyone that wants him starting. Many say that here as well.

You're a status quo guy and can never see the forest for the trees. Always thinking we have the # 1 D would be a good example.

We don't even know he'll be back for the next game. He may be and excel or he may be ineffective for the rest of the season. This is the same injury that limited his games and productivity last year. IIRC he missed the 2nd half of the Grey Cup game.

O'Shea will never give us the goods about his injury so we're in wait and see mode. If Jeffcoat returns and is healthy he can dominate.

It's about the same as saying Grant could return for next game and solve our return problems. Since he's extended on the 6 game IR we may not see him again this season.

Nay I always see the forest thru the trees.  Guess the other forum should run the team lol.

Who should start in front of him.  The mod who dumped on Kramdi had no answer.  To say that ship has sailed is an over site.  This forum has agreed that he played exceptionally last week and is developing well.  I don't know if he is the answer long term but we will likely find out by years end.

It's up to Walters to find and bring in players. It's up to O'Shea to field the best available that are healthy. Asking who should start in front of him is a deflection  from the problem.  What steps has the team taken to have depth at SAM after Darby was injured and during his poor play?  PR just got filled with new receivers and no one that can play SAM.

Last week I mentioned I thought Kramdi made some good plays. I also noted some screw ups. He's not a rookie and at some point it becomes inexcusable. The jury is deliberating. He may come around but that's the most or best I can say.

I think with strong Dline play our back end would have been fine today..whenever our Dline doesn't get great pressure and contain our back end looks like it did today. It has been like this for years, our coordinator needs a good Dline and with Jeffcoat he mostly has it, but without it struggles.

As we have seen even with Jeffcoat late in games we don't roster enough rotational pieces our line fades late in games and it affects the whole unit...see Ott loss

Jefferson is a great talent but has dropped off, is it partially due to being overused??

Pete

the weakness in this team is the failure to find adequate replacements for in season injuries, and/or not giving players a chance to play, instead going with the vet even when it's obvious that the vet is lacking.
Mcrae and Parker doing returns is one example. Briggs being in every game is another, he's two steps behind most plays
We bring in Fox and don't play him, we don't have a replacement foR Darby even if its to back up Kramdi. Jake Kelly hasn't really been given a shot either.
We also don't seem to have a Canadian fullback to replace miller. instead we are going with an import that is new to the position.
I know this is a kneejerk reaction to the loss, but its frustrating when you see the obvious weaknesses and not enough being done in season to improve the team and create competition.

Hopefully Grant be back.  Fox and Kelly likely not viable alternatives imo (yet).  I don't see a need for a Darby replacement, he played himself out of the lineup and our depth at LB are reasonable imo.  Getting Gauthier and Briggs back helps.  Good depth guys.  Fullback a none issue imo as we have Miller.  Jackson has been reasonable imo.  Having a Canadian would be nice but only so many roster spots.

Pete

Id be surprised if miller returns, Im not sure who the backup is for kramdl. As far as jackson, basically he is playing role of tight end, but surely we can find someone with experiance cdn or import to better play that role
Theres a reason no other team in the league uses a di in that role
