What did you think of Ronnie Blackmon, any chance he gets a shot at returns?

Blackmon looked very good receiving punts last week. On Wednesday he was not on the punt return team, but either was Parker. It was McCrae, Martin, and Rose took a couple of punts, but I think he was just explaining to OM77 how things work in the CFL.

Blackmon is smallest. Has good hands, and seems to have good speed. He seems to catch everything thrown at him in practice.

Guess McCrae is on his way out?

No way McCrae is out before FA.  He knows the O and would almost certainly be dressed if Brady gets injured.  And he can also do WR/SB.  Very versatile.  An IMP Demski, but not as good?

McCrae is valuable depth for the post-season run.  I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't resign him for next season too, unless we get some amazing miracle scouting finds.

I agree and expect he'll be invited to TC. There may be stiffer challenges but he has earned that opportunity. Free agency may be painful going into 2024. Until the dust settles we won't know the losses or gains.

Demski has returned punts before too right?
It would be nicer to not have to put a star player back there returning kicks, but at this point, I'd rather see him return kicks and rest the first play on offence. It's usually a run anyway.
I watched some Blackmon highlights and wasn't impressed by his speed or quickness, but maybe it's a totally different story in practices?

IIRC, he hasn't been used on returns since 2018.

Demski is too valuable on offence to risk him returning punts.

Speaking of returners anyone know what happened to former Ti-Cat Frankie Williams, seems to be MIA.  Having an experienced returner parked on the PR down the back stretch would be good security.

With the playoff just around the corner, you would think this team would be looking for an experienced KR and  DE. I agree with the  post that JJ94 leaving the GC to start the 4th. quarter was big.

we have Haba, who we can?t really roster with JJ94 because of our ratio issues. As for a KR, beyond me how a team once known for their STs is dropping the ball so much on STs evaluations

Agree. Unless he can crack the team in return game. He hasn't done much in return game in college.

I wish we can get that Tyler Snead from the Als.
Snead is #3 in consecutive catches without a drop
