If it was any other QB, it would have been much ado about nothing

Not sure why you are trolling, but you definitely are.

Really - Sanchez was defending that play?   I probably won't watch any CFL today - still sulking.

He started by saying he agreed with Matty and Milt that it was a bad play, but then went on to say it happens every play.  Matt challenged that, and I would agree - that sort of intent to injure play (well after the whistle, having nothing at all to do with the play) does NOT happen every play.

Milt appropriately called it egregious, I think Sanchez challenged that notion a bit.  Then saw Matt and Milt with their expressions and tried to explain.

Well be will be absent next game. GOOD THE *******!

I still hope he makes the trip. Donny?s away next week so I snagged his tickets. I was hoping to give it to him hard. It?ll be even more fun if he?s just standing there in street clothes while we?re kicking their ***.

At least the eye in the sky caught it and he has been suspended.....

Sad Sanchez sees nothing wrong with the hit but then again he isn?t the sharpest knife in the drawer.

The league rightfully so suspended the player, one game is a step, 2 would have been more accurate. This is an era where concussion prevention and head shots are to be eliminated and the bonehead does this??!! Inexcusable and so are sanchez?s comments.

it's totally ridiculous to say it happens every play, in this age where a tap to the qbs head is penalized, I haven't seen a play that egregious for a very long time. Even Micah Johnson who was right beside him threw his hands up in the air as if to say what the hell are you doing man.

B.s.
it was a blatant attempt to injure a star player who was prone to the ?hit?. The useless loser rider will be flipping burgers next year, and no one protects a hall of fame QB.

****** WWE is less blatant

The guy should be suspended five games and the club fined $100,000.00. The intent was clear, and could end Collaros career.  Collaros likely will be finished if he sustains another concussion.

I don't think there will be a suspension, just a fine. Collarus was not injured and if it was up to him, he would not have missed a play. I think that the inner soccer player came out in him and he saw the chance to draw a penalty which was smart on his part. I see players do those headbuts all the time in post touchdown celebration, I that if it is enough to cause head injury, you should not be playing football ::)

Hey, pretty good attempt by a cryder fan to use ?bomber? in their handle so we don?t know you?re a troll! Thanks for signing up and checking us out after you finally won a game against us. Bye bye now  :-*

It was a total brainfart, and I don't think there was a premeditated attempt to injure, but it was egregious, uncalled for and one game is a very light penalty.

There was no way he should continue in the game, he should have been immediately ejected.

The fact that the eye in the sky took Collaros out of the game says they knew there was a serious foul, and command centre should have called down with the ejection.

Its one thing to call a glancing hand to the helmet during the play as a 15 yard penalty, a headbutt after the play is on a whole 'nother level, and should have been dealt with at the time, and the suspension should have been harsher.

Much as Sanches thinks this happens all the time, especially amongst the hoggies, it doesn't.  And if it does, it should be dealt with quickly and severely.

"Helmet to helmet" is the big focus.  This is the epitome of that.

Your post is all true except for the first sentence. I can?t think of headbutting someone and not trying to injure them?

If you throw a punch are out of the game. Automatic. A head butt is somehow less?

Concerning to me that last year there were problems with the same team head hunting quaterbacks. The guy in question got released EVENTUALLY but it took them long enough and with the exact same denials and fake apologies we are seeing now. I'm sure only league pressure made that happen. Systemic there? You wonder what they coach.

As for Sanchez saying head butts happen every play, sure heads touch, but you don't sucker head butt a player once the play is effectively over and guys are relaxed. It's just dirty and should be penalized to the maximum. The Banjo Bowl brawl of 2021 happened after the play too. Again I ask, is it systemic in Regina? Are they coached to play that way? Or coaches just pretend not to notice and is that not the same thing?

They coach that way. They want players to play like that. That's why they are penalized so much. Problem is they don't have talent.  Monctief and Robertson and a few others were doing it all game. Wasn't one play. They were playing tough after the whistle. The coaches teach them that
