Quote from: Jesse on July 03, 2024, 07:12:56 PMWe offered the exact same term and money to Monahan - he just chose them over us.

Yeah, I'll need to see a citation on that. That contract seems very unlike Cheveldayoff.

What a wretched timeline.

Not sure why we re-signed:
-Miller
Not sure why we signed:
-Kähkönen
Not sure why we didn't re-sign:
-Capobianco
-Dillon

According to Scott Billeck anyways:

You would have endorsed signing Monahan at 5 x 5.5?

It's irrelevant. Cheveldayoff did, but Monahan chose Columbus instead.

Thanks for the source - even if I'm inclined to take it with a grain of salt.

And pretty baffling if true. But playing with Gaudreau again maybe influenced his decision...? No idea, but it's their gain.

The Jets are so thin down the middle.

Hayden Fleury: D 6'4" 207.

Mason Shaw: LW 5'10, 180

Anderson-Dolan: LW 5'11" 200.

If we are not keeping NE27 and CP91, I would like to see us get a big RW that can score.

Went to Jet's Development Camp today, which split the groups, in the beginning, for teaching and drills
   Very good size crowd

My eyes are on #93 Lambert ---- high octane speed       #67 Julien a tall center who is pretty smooth
also #49 Barlow -- who seems smart and competes      #63 Nehring -- who has size and good release
#80 Sward, on defense, seemed to be quite decent        #76 Walton, great size and can skate
they had a new goalie called Worthington who is interesting

Chevy has sent, to the Canes, a conditional 7th round pick for 26 yr old rt shot dman Dylan Coghlin

Also there might be a trade where Ehlers is going to Buffalo for 2 prospects ----- TBD

With Mitch Marner on the block... how would he fit with MS55 and KC81?

Too much on the top line?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

The Zipp

Logan Stanley is bringing us a cup guys !!

Pretty good value, really.

2 yrs at $1.25 per for a servicable Dman.  Fine with that number.

And he's teh only Jets player with Stanley's Cup in his locker before every game.

So the Jets have $4.5M cap space left.

CP91, and Coghlan left to sign.

Jets have spent $22M on there D core.

Wheel ad Schmidt costing us $5.45M this season.

Top 2: MO and Demelo

Top 4: Pionk and Samburg.

Then there's a whole bunch of 5,6. Miller, Fluery, Stanley, Coghlan, and Heinola,

Was hoping for a better group then this.

The NHL uses 23 as the Roster size and presently the Jets sit at 25 roster contracts

Forwards are at 15 contracts, without Perfetti signed, nor Lambert (he's ready) included with the Jets

D-men show 7 and that's without Coghlan signed nor Heinola up with the Jets  AND 3 goalie contracts

My humble guess, and no I haven't talked to Chevy is that indeed Ehlers, sadly, gets moved
Plus I would speculate that one of Appleton or Iafallo get moved and Heinola is part of a package
Comrie no doubt will get waived along with the likes of Axel J-F.

Chevy has a lot of work before main camp opens
