Zach Injury Watch - Calgary pre-game thread

I guess we will see how they handle ZC and practices this week, Monday and Tuesday are open, Wednesday is closed.  MOS could play some games with this too and not have Zach practice M And T and then practice on Wednesday calling him a game time decision.

Ya, but it's CGY.  We could probably give them a copy of the playbook and our scripts and we'd probably still win.  Why play coy with them?  I think CGY will be easier to beat than EDM.

Did you see how hard it was for us to beat EDM the other day?

I guarantee you CGY will not put up the score on us that EDM did.  I'll be surprised if they get >1 TD.  CGY is in slow implosion mode, kinda like SSK.

Calgary looks bad but Edm is a tire fire.

Carey will be a factor.  Both their backs are good.

Carey only rushed 7 times but had a very good 6.3 yd. average, as well as 2 catches for 14 yds..
When healthy he is a terrific threat vs any defense

Yeah Tecno was way off there.  He looked good.  Key will be stop the run.

If I was a GM, I'd take little fastest-guy-on-the-field Brown over always-hurt getting-slower getting-older Carey.  Just sayin'.  Brown is going to be a superstar in the CFL.  I've never been a Carey fan.  He did bupkis in the CGY playoff game last season.

We were not choosing backs.  Your analysis on Carey was over stated on the negative and I believe the view that Calgary will be easier than the Elks is also wrong.

Sounds like a personal bias again Carey who is very good.

Given the choice I'd take Dedrick Mills over Carey, who seems to spend half of each season on the injury list.

I admitted my personal bias against Carey, many times.  I'm allowed to have players I like and dislike.  And I never hide that I'm opinionated and biased.  It's ok to be nice to every player and see the good in them all, and it's also ok to be harsh and critical.  Different philosophies.

I was thinking the exact same thing.  That's why they'll always roster both.  And if Carey has a big $ ask in the off-season, CGY will probably cut him.
