Ya it?s just a reminder we all age and slow down. Still it?s sad. He was once a massive killing force out there, still decent, but definitely lost a couple steps. Just like Harris it?s just sad to see them not making plays like they used to, they still are decent, but not the dominating forces they once were

Rewatching the Woli hit.  I bet Morgan gets fined for that.  I think they both got a concussion.  It was H2H, intentional, with no attempt to hit with pads or something else.  It was almost spearing, but without completely leaving his feet.  It was fine-worthy because he did it while Woli was being wrapped up (though trying).

Woli's first as a Bomber I think.  What's the IR time for this, typically?  To compare to the Zach aftermath, Woli did not jog to the tunnel, nor do I think he returned.

Dru has very good mechanics.  Didn't notice that live.  Like very very good mechanics.  And he has lots of zip and a quick wind and release.  A bit Rourke-y.  It doesn't give the defenders time to react to the wind up.

You want something fun, watch 2Q1:09 and his big conversion for 20 yards to BOO.  Watch the 1st replay.  He is directing BOO but then stares at Brady and is pumping like he's going to Brady, but at the last second winds up and throws while falling to BOO who he's not even looking at.  That's some very, very high level stuff and I'm shocked to see it from our (any!) #2.  So far that's the best Dru skill play of the game, even better than the Lawler TD pass.  It's going to make the whole film room smile.

As far as Biggy, a bunch of our older players have had off games. That's the nature of an aging athlete. Will they be able to find enough in the tank one last time in November? That's the question. We are banking on them being able to.

If big hill would just stay in the middle he'd be ok. But running out to one side he can't make it back. And the runs usually are down the middle. If he stays in the middle linebacker position help out the d line

He returned to the sidelines in street clothes.

Yes, I also saw him on the sidelines. He seemed okay. When you have a player like BOO84 as your backup, you error on the side of caution.

It will be interesting to see, who is practicing this week.

No but Thursday is a travel day. So we might see a Monday, Tuesday with a Wednesday walk through.

Spotted Jackson: 3Q9:08 he's doing his half-back to the QB thing in support of the run.  He gets a great block to seal the end on the left for BO to romp for like 15.  Doubt Brady beats the edge without Jackson there.

The score was flattering to the Elks. So was the early lead. Obviously football is a game of big plays. At times that is due to big offensive or defensive plays. It can also be a combination of good plays at the same time the opponent makes a mistake ( bad play ). I know that's cliche but those were really unusual plays you don't see often.

1. 1st play of game. Brown goes 65 yards virtually untouched. No dancing around potential tacklers, just pure speed. I equate that more to a screw up on defence. That seldom happens like that to any team. RB's can run long distances but usually due to great blocks and breaking tackles. This was not that.

2. Long TD pass. Right play against right defence. It was 3 - 4 yards behind LOS and a missed tackle. Again, great move to evade tackle. Bad technique by Houston. He gave a bit too much cushion and went to make a tackle instead of making sure he remained upright allowing time for other tacklers to get into correct lanes.

3. Defensive pic 6. Obviously an error by Collaros.

So kudos to Elks for taking advantage, but it was 3 plays where there was significant error by some Bombers.

It isn't on the same level as watching Lawler make a one armed reception when PI should have also been called.

Road team got caught napping early and the bulk of the first half was a rough one to watch. Collaros getting pancaked was particularly rough and the subsequent turnover that resulted.

Fortunately, Brown stepped in admirably and led the charge on offense. That seemed to settle everyone and they never really looked back, outscoring the Elks 28-7 in the second half.

Not at all the game I expected but I'll take the win all the same.

No one has really said so but Collaros was not really playing smart football in the first quarter of that game. He got hurt on not-the-first awkward scramble where he was deep and away from the pocket. Haven't seen him work himself into such a bad position multiple times in a quarter and a bit. Say what you want about the hit but running 7 yards right and 12 yards back before trying to make a play is the wrong decision. It was odd. Throw it away.

If it was a rookie QB making those decisions and getting hurt you'd call it stupid football.

Yes it was a poor decision on his part. Teams are not his couple steps one way roll the other way trick. He needs to simply get rid of the ball and regroup for the next play.

In contrast, I did like the way Dru Brown play actioned and then rolled the pocket to the right, bought himself time and made plays.

You can?t read a defense when you?re running the other way, if you have to retreat 10 yards, time to dump the ball into the stands

He looked pretty awful on Thursday night even if it was short-lived. That weird play where he coughed up the ball on an ugly forced throw, only to get mangled by an incoming defender was just... I don't even know. Hideous football. Forcing plays is good way to get needlessly injured. The pick-six only added insult to injury.

Is this a gameplan issue? It's not the first time we've seen the offense come out flat and uninspired, with Collaros doing a deer-in-the-headlights bit. Makes me wonder what sort of play-calling Pierce is up to in these instances.
