Blue Bombers to wear white jerseys vs Edmonton July 20
Fans encouraged to wear white along with the team

WINNIPEG, MB., July 18, 2023 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will once again wear their white jerseys for the July 20th home game against the Edmonton Elks in the annual Wear White game.

The white jerseys will be paired with the blue pants that are part of the alternate uniform. Fans are encouraged to wear white as well along with the team. White t-shirts, Starter jackets and crewneck shirts are also available for purchase through the Bomber Store.

The home uniform schedule for the remainder of the season is as follows:

August 3: Home jersey, gold pants
August 24: Home jersey, gold pants
September 9: Alternate jersey, blue pants
September 29: Orange jerseys for warmup, Indigenous logo on helmet, home jersey & gold pants for the game
October 21: Home jersey, gold pants, pink laces & tape

Tickets for the July 20 game can be purchased here. Fans can also shop the Bomber Store online for white away jerseys. The Princess Auto Tailgate Area opens at 5:30pm, with the following specials available until kickoff: $5.00 355ml cans of Coors Original and Coors Light Beer as well as $3.50 hot dogs and fountain drinks.

All my bomber gear is royal blue, and I think I'd rather wear that over a random white t-shirt.
The white jerseys look great too but I rarely see anyone with white bomber shirts or jerseys...

I have a White jersey I bought to promote the store... Was going to be a giveaway, but we kept it.  Still haven't worn it, might have to now... not a big jersey fan, too fat and hairy for mesh.

I'll be wearing my blue jersey, too, as I don't own an away jersey.  Yes, bit of a marketing gimmick, but hey, when they sell more gear they are stronger financially.  It's making me ponder an away jersey... but probably won't pull the trigger tonight.

I'll just wear all white under my jersey.  It'll be visible when I stand up for the 4 Lawler TDs we are going to get tonight! 

My question is: Is the jersey rule that the home team gets to pick?  I thought it was home team *had* to wear home jersey.  What if the opponent disagrees with our choice?  Seems kind of weird, and I can't recall other teams doing this.
