Was Haba not playing today? We lacked pressure in the second half and I have yet to see Bennett do a thing when in the lineup.

Bennett is not an asset as of yet...

Why was Briggs even playing most of 2nd half? We gave up 17 yards in the 1st half. What happened in the 2nd half? Rhetorical question but it looked like a lot of prevent defence.

It wasn't just prevent D, it was prevent O.

And even though he ran all game we decided not to put any D on Crum's running.  They didn't use their RB hardly at all.  We only had to stop the short pass and the Crum rush and we failed.

As I noted early in the 4th, we were losing ToP and our D was tired already in the 3rd.

And we dressed Agudosi instead of a D DI?  We didn't field him even once.  Talk about a bad use of the roster.

Crum benefitted a bit from first-start "luck" since teams have almost no film on him.  It's just the way the ball bounces.

We kind of let OTT beat us the way Kelly beat us in the GC: we don't have a plan for a real young naieve running QB.

Why does Buck always take his foot off the gas when he has a lead

Agree all.  Well said.

Because it works more times than it doesn't.

Disagree. He is developing asset.  The time and reps we put in will pay off.  Forest through the trees.

This is a great observation.

The Zipp

Bad coaching for sure, bad execution on both sides of the ball.  Some very untimely mistakes and just playing in a fog for the last part of the 4th.

Our second string personnel is just not good enough to compete.

O line was terrible against BC and weak again today.  Something needs to change.

Our D has the "tired" ToP excuse, but our O should take a ton of blame.  They did nothing with their drives in the 2nd half.  No one really stepped up, and a whoopsie from Brady and a bad read by Zach put the score and our D in a tough spot.  The OT sack with only 4 rushing is inexcusable.

What I find most inexcusable is the 2 2pt converts.  All we had to do was stop either of those.  And instead we play 3 yards deep in the EZ?  Our blitzes started sucking as soon as they got gassed early in the 4th.  Need to change it up and should have dropped off in coverage with a Crum spy.

We seem incapable of adjusting on the fly.  It's bizarre.

Well guys better luck next time.  I really enjoyed the game and everyone's take.  On to the other thread for me after I take a walk to reflect on our collapse lol.

Agree 1st two points.
Our 2nd stringers are fine when our starters are healthy.  Oline needs adjustments and better schemes not change of players.  Patience grasshopper. OL has laid a few eggs yes but also has shown well.

kevan

Can definitely see the Olines regression this year. They were pushed around most of the game, Collaros took a lot of hits and we had zero push on run plays.

Blue72

The way Ottawa's QB was running today, why didn't Hall leave Biggie or Alexander in the middle to stop the chance to run?

Blitzer

I'm not sure why the Bombers ran up the middle so much. That's a lot of bodies that have to be moved out of the way. I'd like to see McCrae around the end on a sweep. He could use his speed.
