Every week is a new game and a plan to go 1 and 0 as has been preached by Mike O'Shea.  The game against Ottawa is winnable but the same dedicated preparation goes into it as if the Bombers were preparing for a top tier team.

Ed Tait's 48-Hour Primer with Dalton Schoen speaks to that preparation and dedication to the game...

On the injury situation...

FYI:

Thursday's Blue Bombers daily injury status report has ruled out ace kick returner/receiver Janarion Grant from Saturday's game in Ottawa against the RedBlacks. Also of note: guard Pat Neufeld and LB Tanner Cadwallader, both of whom missed Wednesday, were back at practice. Receiver Nic Demski has missed the last two days and is listed as 'questionable.'

Thursday's practice was closed to the media and so there is no answer yet as to who may handle the return chores in Grant's absence. Greg McCrae picked up the torch admirably in the win over Calgary, with Demerio Houston, Abu Daramy-Swaray and Demski all taking reps, too, this week.

For the Ottawa Game...

In for the Bombers:  86 Agudosi

Out for the Bombers:  80 Grant

With 10 or so players listed as "questionable", might the game day depth chart be substantially different?  How many PR players made the trip?  Or players eligible to come off AR's?
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Don't read too much into the daily IR reports. I imagine Grant is the only player not playing this week.

Haha, we didn't even bother to designate a DNA on either side this week.  Normally DNA is Grant.

We're missing out on a great chance here.  Bailey should be the DNA and Woli/Demski/Brady/JA/BOO the DNS's.  Agudosi would start at WR.  Bailey could then play most of the game at WR (no change from normal) but could also step in for Woli on many plays for a all-IMP-but-Demski O set.  You could also have empty backfield sets where Brady sits and all of Bailey, Agudosi and Woli are eligible receivers.

Even if you didn't want to do any of this, you should roster it that way in order to give the possibility of having Agudosi and Bailey on field instead of BOO should Woli or Demski get injured.  There is no reason not to take these free roster flexibilities.

OTT's R corps is starting to look better / not-entirely-useless.  Mariner is shaping up in a Bailey-like guy, Hardy has always been decent, Behar is ok for a NAT, and Scarver was showing glimpses of being a legit new guy with big speed.  Acklin is a weird one, sometimes looks great, sometimes can't catch contested balls if his life depended on it.  On paper he's supposed to be their lead mega-star.

Luckily for us, the QB is crummy (see what I did there!?).

Might we see Piggy as #1 if Crum stinks?

Might we see Piggy blow a X&1 sneak??  That would be kind of funny.

OTT starting 4 NAT OL again.  Who is Pelehos?

These afternoon games seem to being out the malaise in the Bombers- maybe the guys think they are back in college or something.  Generally just not sharp at all - hopefully not the same today but nothing would surprise me if they come out flat and let Ottawa into the game.

Man, I hate it when people try to prep themselves for bad outcomes.

No. We're going to come out swinging. Pull ahead by 3 TDs. And Brady is going to run them into the dirt.

Well it's kind of based on history - they seem to be flat on Saturday afternoon games - they may end up winning but rarely is it great football.  I don't know why this is..

Yeah I agree - I think the Bombers will come out strong and keep their foot on the peddle all game long. Great day for CFL football - Bombers vs. Ottawa and then Calgary vs. Sask - all going on while the BBQ is in full swing - lots of folks over.
