An extra 2000 fans at an average tix price of 50 is a 100k drop into the piggy bank.
Maybe simplistic number crunching but I am sure Wade is well aware of the situation.

Banjo Bowl usually doesn't sell out until week of the game (last year was an exception). There only appears to be 1000-2000 tickets left (last I looked).

Looks like less than 500 left. I bet it will sell out before the end of the month.

Miller is a very good business man.
I would bet we do not see 4 Thursday games next year. Max 3 hopefully only 2.
Friday's numbers prove out that no matter where you drive from, more
fans show up on a Friday vs a Thursday.

Need to see the numbers from this year and previous years to make the determination.  The league is trying out a new scheduling idea this year.  While each team will have input, we won't get to pick and choose exactly what we want.  These things come and go.  We have seen Wednesday and Thursday games before.  Wednesdays are likely out, Thursday games are here to stay just a matter of how many.  Hope they can figure out the optimum schedule.  This is a complicated issue that has many factors to consider.  I don't care when the games are, just want what's best for the league, tv deals and fans.

Too early in the season  to determine how well these Thursday games sell both for attendance and TV numbers.  Hoping for big crowd Thursday!!!

What is their new scheduling idea?  Thursday games have been around for as long as I can remember.

Dont mind the idea of a Sunday night game as long as its an early start at 6 or 7 or even a late afternoon start.

I have been enjoying them.  Not sure why none this week...

Good question. It looks like they are scheduled for the rest of the summer (up to the weekend before Labour Day weekend).
Money is no object...especially when you have none.

Same, having  CFL football to watch 4 nights a week has been quite enjoyable for me. I much prefer it to the double/triple header format.

3rdand1.5

Each to their own, and I understand why Thursday games with the summer cabin crowd....

For me personally they are more difficult to attend, and I always spend more money at game on the weekend.

Example last week, Friday night took a client to the game, five in our group, went to BP before the game, hoped the shuttle, spent just over $250 on appy's and drinks at BP, I bought four rounds of 1919's and a Coors at the game $77 plus tip each round so another $308 at the game, then back to BP for drinks and food and another almost $200 bill. Using this example spent around $800 plus the cost of tickets. Now if this was on a Thursday evening, I wouldn't have been able to do this.

On a Thursday it's two tickets maybe a beer or two at BP, possibly a beer at the game then straight home afterwards.

I'm just happy to have games and know I don't represent everyone, but for me personally all the Thursday games are not ideal, and again just for me, it works out to me spending far less.

I like the Sunday nighters in the summer before NFL starts (and even when NFL starts...although I doubt they will try to compete). I don't necessarily ever want a Bomber game on a Sunday night in the summer, but having something to casually watch that I enjoy but am not invested in is great. Same vibes as Thursday non-Bomber games.

agreed...we only have one sunday game this season and its the labour day one which is always Sundays...I kinda wish we had one sunday night at home in the summer...wouldn't want any more than that.  I would trade one Thursday for a Sunday on the August long weekend...take away another Thursday and put it on a Friday and the sched is almost perfect.

I love a CFL game each week they way they are doing it.

TV numbers keep rising.  The league might be on to something here.

https://3downnation.com/2023/07/12/cfl-tv-ratings-continue-upward-trend-in-week-5-with-largest-average-audience-of-2023-season/?fbclid=IwAR2rC5YQVJ_8douERb_45sL3qkHOuARCymygOraT1dQqnniJfpn7KExHtmU

TV numbers are rising because they started in the toilet.

I think for casuals, it takes a few weeks for them to realize the season is starting and to begin tuning in with any regularity.
My wife is amazing!
