It's not a bad problem, but I don't know where we'll fit in some players that might be coming off IR after game 6. Wilson, Rose, Miller and Burtenshaw are the ones that could be eligible to start practising this week. IIRC, I've heard Rose and Wilson are close so they might start with light practice. Not sure about the other 2.

Kramdi might be ready this week but our next two opponents are not the top tier teams, so we might just leave him there a while longer. I'm just not clear on who the back up at SAM is at the moment.

I believe Briggs is currently the backup to Clements.

Clements has been playing very well, can't see the Bombers rushing Wilson back.

I agree he has been more than solid.

Do we still have Janke on the roster?  I don't even see his name on IP or PR

Where is Donald Rutledge Jr. Like to see him back with the Bombers. The kid made plays. Last I heard he was with Gamblers.

I don't see Wilson as being avail soon, he's started running but it likely takes a while to be in game shape
Only need to see what happened to Masoli

If he comes off the IR for game 8 he could be the DI and worked into game shape and timing. Since he's been running recently that would give him at least 3 more weeks before actually being added to the AR. Essentially the length of TC to ease into increased workload.

A return for August 3rd. As I said, if he is actually going to start practising this week. That's only a maybe until we hear that happens. It would be the 1st he's allowed to return to practice.

Clements is the WIL not the SAM so that doesn't answer the issue of back up at SAM if Kramdi doesn't return this week.

In response to the comment about Wilson at SAM. My only suggestion was to add him as a DI when he's ready. That would be August 3rd, game 7 IMO. That's if he starts practice this week so that's not exactly a plan to rush him onto the AR back as the starter.

Clements is playing well but Wilson could be worked back onto an increasing workload once he's on the AR.

He fell out of favor at the end of last year and played himself out of a starting spot. Doubt he'll be back. Hard to know for sure but probably wasn't a cultural fit.

oh yah! Was not injury related. For whatever reason he did not work here. He has been picked up by anyone else as far as I know either.

He was in the XFL and may or may not even be a free agent.

Clements is ok.  Wilson is better.  A ton of our run D problems are having the weaker WILL.  Watch our run D improve once Wilson slots back in.

All week-1 6GIR guys you gotta think will play out the full 6.  Why pull them off before 6 games?  Then again, we often do.  I'm always confused about when/how you gain the SMS savings.  Must be more to it if we often pull guys after 5.

Ya, Rutledge didn't FIFO.  He won't be back.  Which is too bad, as he was almsot as good as Darby.

As I've said before, I think all intended starters will slot back in as they come off the 6GIR.  The backups have been good, but none have been better.  The beauty of that is, if the normal starters suck (rust, lingering injury), we can go back to the good backups.

Too bad, the Bombers were starting to build up some good size in their secondary with Rutledge and Thompson at Safety, they've kind of gone away from that, Karamoko is the only DB listed over 6 ft. +200 lbs.

Size doesn't matter very much if you can't cover. For example, Evan Holm is 5'-11" but is significantly better in coverage than either of those guys. Deatrick Nichols is arguably the best halfback in the CFL and he's 5'-10".

Disagree, cover ability has little to do with size, two things always worth improving on any football team are the size and speed of every position on defence.  A good pass rush is the equalizer, take that away and a good QB has a much better chance of exploiting tall receivers over short DB's which we saw play out before Jeffcoat came back.

If you're 6 foot 2 and cover as well as Deatrick Nichols you are in the NFL.
