When was the last time we scored 6 points in a game?

That was definitely the lowest scoring.

But there were two games last year, one against Toronto, one against Montreal, where our offence looked just as outmatched. We scored less than 20, Zach threw for barely 200 yards, etc. Felt/looked the same even though a TD was scored at some point where in last weeks game we never punched one in.

The Toronto and the Montreal games never felt as bad to me as the BC game last week. We were completely out matched in all phases of the game.

That doesn't mean that I didn't pick us to win this week. Montreal isn't anywhere near as tough as BC to beat despite their 2-0 record. However, if they manage to speed rush their way to Collaros and to put up 30ish points, then I'll start to really worry about our team.

Bombers often **** the bed when fans expectations for a great performance are at their highest, every year they seem to come out flat for a few games.

If BC was going to bypass the Bombers in the off-season, that's what it would look like. It will be interesting to see how they do against the Argos this weekend, I think they'll put up a better fight than the Bombers did.

I was in Vegas for the game, and just saw the scoring lines as they came through...

When I got home and watched it on the PVR, it was no where near the smackdown I was expecting.

Yes, we got outscored bad, and sacked bad, and took bad penalties.  And yes, that's bad.

But we were not horribly ourplayed overall.  Just where it counted.

I am not dismayed or concerned about the game, if anything, its good to get this crapout of the way early.

That was not the WBB we will expect to see the rest of the year, especially the Oline

Money is no object...especially when you have none.

Sir Blue and Gold

A lot of reaction after the game about the secondary too. It's fair criticism but also hands up in pre-season if you were thinking Desmond Lawrence and Abu Daramy-Swaray were going to be our corners? No? Lawrence rode the pine in Hamilton all last year before playing alright in the playoffs in cold weather last year. Sample size was really low for him and I didn't think he was going to be more than depth. Daramy-Swaray is athletic but raw. Even Evan Holm, although he's been really, really good, was not exactly a lock.

The secondary is going to take some time especially if we can't get home a lot.

Yes.

We killed ourselves with penalties and didn't score when we should have.  That TD to end the half was a killer.  10-6 coming out of the locker room if not for that, and we're right in it...

I remember thinking after the first half that we came out flat but were absolutely still in it. Was thinking "c'mon, second half team here. D will adjust and lock down and O will adjust and start rolling". It was a completely reasonable take and even an 11 pt deficit is nothing for our team normally to nullify. It was the second half that was the absolute **** kicking.

Agree that BC drive at the end of the 1st half was the killer, they marched the field efficiently and the D couldn't stop them.

Maybe the Hogs were all at Grey's place and he got some bad chicken?
Sure wasn't their collective best, possibly their collective worst.

Not in-between weeks 2 and 3.

We're pretty knicked up on D. Offence absolutely came out flat and couldn't dig themselves out of the hole. But I certainly don't expect it to suddenly be the norm.

Bad game for us, great game for them.  Took a good licking, get healthy and learn from it.

Ya, not sure what Aards is smoking.  Vapors from the organic dog food?  :D

It was the worst display of garbage I've seen since literally that no-QB time before Willy and between Willy & Nichols.  No other failure, including the "MTL Disaster" game (blowing 27 points), comes close.

We were looking very shaky from the start.  As soon as we botched that last drive of the 1st half, then gave the ball back for a quick TD, I knew we were in deep, deep trouble.  I had faith we'd adjust at halftime, but we only adjusted downward.

Seriously, I'd have to call back to the Brohm or Feve starts to see such trash.
