Couple bullies on there as well. I do not need to inform who that might be. Freaking opinion/info police on there! :P

I stopped my communication on the other site. It's not worth the feedback or comments you get from those self proclaimed knowledgable ones or experts.

But in saying that, I no longer say anything on any sites, but do look at comments as I'm a Bomber supporter.

You shouldn't shy away from making your thoughts and opinions known. We all take the occasional hit from those that don't agree.

There are lots of informative thoughts and questions from both young and old posters. I've been a Bomber fan since 1957 and I'm still learning from posters. Even when I don't agree I get a " didn't think of that " thought in my head.  Not every thought has a black and white answer so that's what makes it interesting.

You might keep in mind that you can always send someone a PM if you want a further explanation or want to add your opinion without making a public statement.

When I started posting here it was like reading greek all the time.  I had no idea what the boundary was, or rail or post, or why one side was strong, or who MIKE was when we had no Mike on the team, or what the heck a hitch screen was, or where exactly the flat was located.  And no one really explained it all at once.  But after about a year or two I picked up most of it, all from this site.  Thanks y'all!

These 2 weeks was like losing a family person.  Left a huge hole in my life.  Glad to have it resusitated again.

Not wanting to be a downer but, this actually happened to me. Late in Q1 of the home opener, I received a call from my little brother's wife in Australia. My brother (loyal Bomber and Jets fan who, after moving to Aus, listened to every game he was able to via the interwebz) had just been diagnosed with a rare and agressive form of Leukaemia - T-PLL. I left for Aus a couple days later. I was at his bedside during Game 2 (the same day the site crashed, I believe) and he was able to listen to some of the CJOB broadcast of the Blue thrashing the Riders. He took his last breath on June 19 (June 18 Winnipeg). He was a week shy of his 57th birthday. Never take your loved ones for granted.

Paul would be chuffed if you raised a glass/can in his honour at the next home game. Thanks.

I'll drink with my son next game to Paul.  Sorry for your recent loss.  Yes, enjoy your time with your family and friends, the next month they might not be there.  As many know, my long-time (40-50y) STH dad died last year.  My mom just died the other month too.  Both with the new all-too-common turbo cancer.  I'm so happy I got to take her with both my kids to the EDM game late last season (my daughter's first).  Had enough jerseys for everyone, crew looked great, and kids and grandma had a blast.  Great pics and memories will last a lifetime.

By Aus you mean Oz or Austria?

Spent a lot of time over the past year at the other site just because of volume of posts mainly, but this forum I find so much friendlier and without politics continually creeping into the conversation. I have been a member here since the beginning, and after not having much to say here in the past year or so, I think I will come back into the conversation more regularly. I was surprised when the site went down and it brought back so many good memories of posting past that made me realize we shouldn't take it for granted.
Some people take this forum way too seriously.
