Good, Bad, and the Ugly

Good:
Bombers D played well all night.
Bombers O in the 1st. half.
Castillo

Bad:
Turnovers.
Sloppy play in the 2nd. half let Hamilton back into the game.
JJ94 out by halftime.
Short kickoffs gave Hamilton very good field position far to often.

Ugly:

94 Hamilton. I guess you would call it a body slam.
P13 short yardage runs. 


Winnipeg's DBs had a very good game. Front 7 played well for there first game together.
ZC8 was on fire in the first half.
BO20, looked like he ended last season.
Castillo, sealing the deal with a long FG.
Holms and Houston were outstanding.
CA86, was one and done?

I didn't see Agudosi after his 1 reception early in the game. What the heck happened to him.

Also Jeffcoat didn't play 2nd half? Precaution and not needed because of big lead? Or re-injured?

Jeffcoat didn't play after the 1st quarter as far as we could tell. I think Willie Jefferson summed up one thing on the post game: "our kicker was good". Great to be back in the seats!

Holm got burned a couple times  but he made some huge plays as well.

OL was very good

Fumbles were carried like loafs bread. This can and should be corrected

Kick coverage was well below average

Orlando was steaming mad a couple times at the Refs lol

Crowd was great.  Late penalties in ham were key to the win

Pigrome had no push in his two rushes - good move by the Bombers to use Brown when the game is on the line.  Pigrome needs reps but that wasn't the time.

Good
 - #45 Haba looked more than decent whenever I tried to focus on him. Looks like a solid rotational piece at the very least, and maybe more
 - Collaros had 354 yards passing without Kenny Lawler in the lineup
 - Took my 11 year old nephew to his first Bomber game. He has decided that Willie Jefferson is his favourite player and is now the proud owner of his first Bomber jersey (#5 Jefferson lettering and autograph still pending).

Bad
 - Special teams in the first half

Ugly
 - A post-game fight on University Crescent amongst a bunch of what I assume were drunks - come on fellas, we're here to have a good time. OK to drink and party, but let the good times roll.


I still like Reinbold and think he's good for the league.

Willie- beast mode activated
Holm- got picked on a ton and made key knock downs. He does have amazing feet
Interior DL did a good enough job in the run game
Biggie running around like a dear out there

Brady- nearly 200 yards TOY wow he was awesome
Zach- just real sharp accurate throws, mid season form
OL- fantasy job all around. Zach had time, Brady had holes to exploit
Demski- he is a wizard
Woli- on weaker coverage presented an outstanding option
Schoen- Mr. Consistent
Castillo- just a pro kicker performance, bravo sir!!

We hardly took any penalties!!

Bad

ST- weak KO coverage

Dominant offensive performance.
I don't hold my breath when we go for a FG.
The DB's knockdowns.
D line pressure.

The Bad:
BLM's accuracy, he missed 3 open deep shots that could have turned the game.
Turnovers, turnovers turnovers.
Hamilton's DB's. 2 falls gave us TD's as did blown assignments.
Our run D. Hamilton could have gutted us instead of going for bombs over and over and over.
Our special teams coverage.
Letting them back into the game when we dominated.

The Ugly:
The penalty in the endzone on Hamilton for faking taking a knee. That was pure BS.
Punt block for a TD.
Fumble scoop and score.
Fumble run to the 2.

Lots to like about this game but there is a few things to clean up specifically the turnovers. Perfect place kicking is a nice change from last season. Solid play from Rasheed Bailey. It looks like he wants to be one of the 5 starting receivers.
