@EdTaitWFC
Adam Bighill, Jackson Jeffcoat, Brady Oliveira, Desmond Lawrence all practising for the @Wpg_BlueBombers

No Rose or Parker though. Very good chance those two are moved to IR this week. Current roster is 2 imports over limit. Parker looked to be gone for a long time. Not sure what Rose is dealing with at this point.

In theory that means we might decide to use a DI spot for a DI. I would think a DB might be more valuable as a DI than a LB since we have a bunch of Canadian LB's that play often.

Haba almost certainly is a DI this week.

Parker is in a boot so it?s fair to say he?s out this week.
My wife is amazing!

Hmmm. Boot suggests ankle / lower leg kind of injury. That's probably better than an ACL which was 1st thought / suggested. It could still mean 6 game IR and a wait and see if he can be removed early or not.

Weird, training staff wasn't even looking at his leg when he was down on the field.

Houston in for Rose on the corner, hopefully he has a better game or BLM is going to feast on him.

Demerio Houston in at boundary corner for Winston Rose, who is not suited up today ? he has to be in question for Friday night.
Back in for Day 1 of Week 1 prep: Bighill, Jeffcoat, Lawrence, Schoen, and Oliveira, which is very positive news for the #Bombers.

I remember how many achilles injuries and others the short preseason visited on many teams...  bringing vets up to speed slowly makes sense...
Unabashed positron.  Blue koolaid in my fridge.  I wear my blue sunglasses at night.  Homer, d'oh.

Well that's super weird.  He walked off under his own power after extreme pain!  It really looked like the normal knee thing.  Must be ankle then, and maybe not too bad?

This is good news as he might be out for a shorter time now!

Luckily we have Lawrence, Holm, etc around and our DB corps should be ok even if Rose is out too.  Would like more details on Rose, though.  I'm looking to him to have a big make-up season and not let himself get suckered in so much.

Lawrence probably is the other CB and Holm goes in at DHB for Parker. Now the question is are they comfortable with only Canadians backing up in the secondary. Or does Karamoko come in for Maruo or do we add Daramy-Swaray instead of a different DI?

Kramdi is probably a better option, saw some game action last year and played well.

Really like Kramdi and Hallett, but this is were Ford would come in handy.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.

Yea, I like Kramdi and Hallett. That said, I'm not sure one of them is the best choice to fill in for an in game injury in the secondary. As a 6th DB in some sets sure. However, if an injury occurs Darby could move into the secondary with Kramdi at SAM. Or Hallett goes in at safety and Alexander moves up to DHB or CB.

Since I'd expect the TiCats to be more pass oriented then run oriented, a DB as a DI might be a better choice than a LB ( Brian Cole )  in this situation.

Before injuries in the secondary or adding Castillo I anticipated a DB as a DI. That formula has changed now since that extra DB would be a rookie instead of a 2nd year guy. Switching Maruo for Karamoko and keeping Cole might be an easier option.

That doesn't appear to be in the mix because the team already knew we DB's most likely heading to IR.

Can't see O'Shea throwing any rookies into the fire, especially against BLM in the season opener at home.  Both Coles, Karamoko and Swaray look to be good future prospects and could contribute immediately on ST, but I think their all too raw to see any game time at LB or DB.

Karamoko did play in 2 games last year and he got a lot of work in TC and pre-season.

Keep in mind that our current options would be Hallett and Kelly.

But your point is valid that doesn't look like our best option now that we have injuries in the secondary.

Not worried about week 1.  Week 1 is rust week.  Our team is basically the same as last year.  Great communications, and knowing your team mate.  HAM is a complete revamp with very little the same, on either side.  Worse still (for them) is a big upset change at QB.  Add in the fact there's a 50/50 chance BLM has completely lost his mojo and goes all hair-brained and noodle-arm like he's done many times since mid-2019.

Consistency wins week 1.  Very few teams have that.
