with all these key players not practicing in TC I have concerns....not to overstate the negative however we weren't that good against the run last season yet we managed to find ways to win.   When we signed KL I thought, ok even if our D isn't as good as last season, then we have the weapons to score often and quickly if need be.    Then Lawler mysteriously is suspended for the first part of the season and BO hasn't practiced since day 1 of TC?   JA by now should be better than he showed and in his interview he seemed ok with his play.   BO corrected this early last season and JA if he starts will be up against a tough TiCat. DL.
I picked the TiCats to win the home opener as BLM is going to want to make this his statement game.....and their D will get after Zach.    The key to our success has been the strength of both our defensive and offensive fronts and my concern is the lack of depth we seem to have should more of them succumb to injuries,  which is virtually inevitable given their age.   
Hoping I'm dead wrong about my "gut" feelings which are usually more accurate than my analytical acumen, or lack thereof

I stand corrected. Kongbo and Mason Bennett in Hamilton. Wow. And we couldn't pull off that deal?  Only a 4th. round pick in 2024.

I think BC would want more to trade in-conference. That being said, I would have done a 3rd. Allows us to roll with a DI at DT, 2 backup Canadian DEs

I think you meant they would want to trade him out of conference? Yes it's possible we weren't interested as well but it was a very low cost.

I'm sure BC offered him too large of a contract for us to absorb - hence the low draft pick in exchange.

Might set up us making a move at the trade deadline. Can't afford him for a full year, but maybe for part of the year.
