I checked the PVR in depth on the Parker injury again; before I was going more by what I saw on-field with the binocs.  Looks like a twisted ankle when friendly fire whacked his planted right leg and his body spun one way without the foot following until it lifts from the ground (and snaps back into the correct direction).

And on his limp off the field he's walking like it's an ankle problem.

So a twist/sprain is my new call/guess, and hopefully no break.  The fact he was walking off with little help is a hopeful sign.  Not a knee thing like I guessed before.

If we're lucky he won't be out too long.  Others can make guesses (4 weeks minimum?).  Bummer we had to lose a starter in "just a" PS game.

Didn't look good, your analysis sounds pretty accurate

Also, only noticed on PVR that my fave new(ish) NAT Cadwallader was making plays and getting to the ball.  This kid looks better every few games.  Looks like a viable WILL speller.  I know we'll probably go IMP @WILL if Wilson will be out a while more, but I want this kid to get more reps there.  He might prove to be better than our IMP WILL depth in not too long.  You never know.

I agree, he'll be around for awhile. Hopefully he stays with the Bombers when he hits free agency. He is from Ontario so it's not a given.

Did you watch for Bennet much? I think he mostly played in the first quarter.
From watching live, he seemed to fill the holes really well. There was only a handfull of running plays while Harris was in, plus Lawson was a beast out there and over shadowed him!

Our 1st IR report of the week is out and clarifies some of what's happening. Both Rose and Parker are listed as foot / ankle injuries.  Cam Lawson might not be able to play this week so Schmekel might be our back up DT.

Miller never practises much but no doubt he'll play and play well.

Mike Miller    FB    Shoulder    DNP
Tui Eli    OL    Lower Leg    DNP
Winston Rose    DB    Foot    DNP
Jamal Parker    DB    Ankle    DNP
Cam Lawson    DB    Knee    DNP

Some back-ups and a couple starters nicked.

What is Hamilton bringing?

If Lawson can't play, they are left with Jake, Walker and Schmekel covering 2 DT positions, there won't be much time for resting.

That would reduce their DE rotation to the 2 Jeffs + Bennett, not much better.  They have a glaring problem on the D-line that they have yet to address, I wonder if they're content to wait for Hansen to return.

I've mentioned this before but the 4th DI at the moment is Cole as a LB. He might be switched out for C. Thomas. Key word being MIGHT.  While Lawson looks to not be able to play, he does have 2 more days to recover?

This was a problem before camp opened.  Still is.

Hanssen????  He's been re-habbing since 2022.  Was he on the field taking reps?  If not he is still injured.

Why not just get Kongbo back.  Now he would get lots of first team reps.

I hope you're right, they have more flexibility in their LB group.

Didn't notice Bennett too much.  I think I saw one standout play?  I can look again.  Anything on the ground in that Harris quarter was overshadowed by the clear Harris->Walker all-air plan SSK was testing.  Our entire DL was unable to get pressure on Harris vs SSK's near-starting OL.
