Final pre-season game for the Blue Bombers.  Expect numerous changes in the line up.  Final opportunity for many players to make a meaningful impact in the game and on their potential career in the CFL.  Final opportunity to finalize the team make up for the opening regular season game.

Zach Collaros will not play meaning many reps for Dru Brown and the two new QBS - one of which will end up as #3 on the depth chart.

Huge battles at QB, Dline, DBs, LBs and arguably the biggest battle will be at kicker.

Looking forward to seeing how the QBs do this time.  Brown will take the reigns, probably get close to a half.  Hope he can show off his skills and help us compete vs Harris & the Rider staters.
Can Pigrome get us out of our seats again?  If he does, the Brown/Pigrome debate will be starting.
Josh Jones didn't look too great, but he is young and may take that grooming PR spot

Doubt Grant gets any reps tomorrow. Jeffcoat and Oliveria might but it probably won't be too many. The team has to decide on the rookies.

I don't like Jeffcoat's chances, but the team is unable to find a significant starter. Bennet seems to be a bust, as a possible starter.  They need to bring someone in, or change their defence, if they do not have the horses. 3 man front...but then they don't have any starting Linebackers.

[/quote]As I've stated on another post thread....I along with Doug Brown who arguably knows more intrinsically about defences than most....have concerns about our inability to stop the run.   Kyrie Wilson is already on the 6 game list and Biggie may not be 100% and 3 of our 4 starling D-linemen are getting older.    Doug Brown wasn't overly impressed with Walker or his back up either.   
I hope I'm wrong however I do take stock in Doug Brown's assessment of our D-Line.    Wilson seems to be injured most of the time and Biggie is still a question mark.    If we are unable to contain the run then our DBs will be hard pressed to contain the pass as they will be called upon to make tackles in the secondary and playing on their heels.   A good QB will then have an easier time picking us apart.

Pretty sure Mike O'Shea doesn't think Bennett is a bust.  He's had one pro training camp and one pro game.  Patience is a virtue and wisdom.

The team needs a very fast evaluator like you, so they don't waste time and money. I assume you're a very good talent scout before.

For the most part true, but there are exceptions.

Bennett is 26 and needed to prove that he wasn't simply using the fact that he was physically more mature than his competition in college. He's not going to get bigger, stronger, faster over time like a younger prospect might.

I think it's way too early to use "bust" and "Bennett" in the same sentence. I don't think most Canadian rookies make an impact in their first year, even?

Having said this, did we expect him to be a DE starter at any point in his career? I didn't - I was expecting him to top out at a Kongbo-type rotational guy.
