I got that on my jersey

I liked blink

Thunder and Lightning

Thank you for bringing this one up - forgot Charles had another nickname as a combo.

And since no one has finished this part, Mike Sellers as the thunder.

Wow that was a combination on the ground.

The most ominous nickname - Bill "The Undertaker" Baker who was a DT for the 'Riders.

Most nicknames - Dieter "Deet The Treat," "Deiter Our Leader, The Stampeder
Beater," "Don't Call Me Ralph" Brock

Never heard of any of these nicknames for Dieter Brock, most just called him "Ralph".

You old timers have me beat.  I only got 1 from that list: the first one.

How about a "modern era" list?

Pinball - Mike Clemens
Rocket Ismail
Thick _____Nik Lewis
Flyin' Hawaiian - Chad Owen
Stove - Steve Richardson

And, do self-given nicknames count?

Fatboi - Jake Thomas
Poop - Cory Johnson

He was known as Ralph early in his cfl career, but later in the 1970?s he wanted to be called Dieter. Not sure if it was a legal name change or some other reason (Dieter was his middle name I think).

Yup, you got them all.  But docked a quarter point for not pluralizing Owens.  Wink Cheesy Cheesy

You might as well provide us with the connected names, I don't think anyone is going to remember nicknames pre-60's.  Thanks for the stellar in-depth contributions over the years, you go well beyond.

Rosy - Lou Adelman
When Adelman started playing football as a teen, his coach called him Rosy. Apparently the snapback (centre) the previous year was a kid named Rosenthal. The name stuck. I have seen Rosy, Rosey & Rosie. The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame & Museum has Adelman's 1935 championship blazer on display - the correct spelling is Rosy.

Rosy had his #1 taken out of circulation from 1938 until 1984 when Todd Hons was issued the number.

Little Nemo - Lew Elkin
Sterno - Dan Renix
The Wisconsin Wraith - Russ Rebholz

Jughead - John Anderson (also Mr. X)
Jughead or Jug starting showing up a Winnipegs practices in 1934, chasing down loose balls and running them back (in street clothes). Soon he was issued proper attire and was participating in practice. Turns out, Anderson was a halfback from Oklahoma A&M (unable to confirm). He was in Winnipeg because he had ties to a racehorse name Snorkie. Jughead played in the first game of the season then left town because the racing season was over.

Apparently the Free Press reporter never thought to ask him his name so the Free Press referred to him as Mr. X.

Chirpy - Cam Doherty
Old Hardrock - Greg Kabat

Tubber - Morris Kobrinsky
Slush - Marsden Harris
It was a challenge to determine the first names of Tubber Kobrinsky & Slush Harris as they were usually identified by their nicknames.

Hustle - Les Lear
Skooter - Wayne Sheley
Kippy - Cliff McFadyen (or McFayden)
Mr. Big - Art Stevenson (Billy Bye also had this nickname)
Ginger - Harry Johnston
Lighthouse - Harry Beckwith
Missoula Meteor - Johnny Reagan
Sleepy - Don Knowles
Black Magic - Joe Zaleski (also Poilo Joe)
Pogo - Neill Armstrong
Senator - Vince Drake
Lunk - Tom Lumsden
Slaughterhouse - Ed Norvack
Tiger - Al Wiley
Moose - Wentworth 'Winty' Young
Mercury - Carver Shannon
The Toy Bulldog - Ray Jauch

correct!
Lenny Walls started the whole Swaggerville thing. Jovon Johnson just proclaimed it for his own.

Your relatives nick name was Hustle. LOL. Hustle because he hustled or because he was running a second business? lol
