No surprise.  I had zero doubt.

I'm curious what the $$ was.  A slight bump over last year?

Nice to have him tied up for 3 years.

KW is DA MAN.  I bet we keep 95% of everyone we want to keep in the off-season.  The interesting part will be seeing which 1-3 guys bail (i.e. "pulls a Lawler") and which guys we purposely don't want back.  Maybe some surprises in the latter group?  Always tough to get rid of guys we've come to like...

Hearing from league sources that an extension for Mike O'Shea to remain in Winnipeg has been agreed to. No surprise here.

I'm also told that #Bombers OC Buck Pierce declined an opportunity to interview for #RedBlacks HC position. The club had given permission.

Key to our success

Others are imo
1. Healthy QB
2. Strong and healthy OL
3. Hall as DC

Rest will fall in place

Great news about MOS!

Not too surprised about Buck either considering how it worked out for his predecessor Lapo in Ottawa...

bwiser

It will be a lot easier to sign the Bombers free agents now that O'Shea is in place for another 3 years.

theaardvark

Interesting that Buck turned down even an interview for the RB HC job... guessing he might know a little about what is going on there, and might not want the same fate as Lapo...

Looks like they are going for the three-peat....  again.

Unfinished business :0

Great News - Things are coming together, lots of work to do yet but all good so far.

Given his stature with the organization  and the community I wasn't too worried he would jump ship and it's great to know he has 3 more years as a Bomber HC!!   This can only be good news for another chance at a Grey Cup!

I m surprised Pierce didn't at least go for the interview to check out the process, but then again, maybe he just doesn't want to be a HC, its not for everyone, but I thought he had decent leadership qualities when he played, he'd be good for the job. But i guess he's just content and happy where he's at, and wants to run at another cup, so why throw that away for a very tough situation in ottawa.
