Brought to you by Hall and MOS

Slow cooked their way to dominance

It's interesting that the early years of O'Shea, Hall, Walters and Miller, in particular, brought out the worst in criticism from Blue Bomber fans - here and throughout social media - for their work in building the team from mediocrity, including the demands that all of them be fired.  If the Board of Directors and management heeded that criticism, the probable fact is would not be where we are at today.  As I said at the start - interesting.

Constantly shuffling the chairs is not a good long term solution. Remember the Bombers were sort of in the positive Ottawa is in now. Cupboards were bare at the start of the Canadian mafia, little Canadian talent. They could have tried the quick rebuild by bringing in a bunch of free agents, but at that time winnipeg was not a sought after destination for free agents unlike now. So they had to do a slow rebuild from scratch almost.

Obviously what you want as an organization is continuity. But you can't just keep the wrong people in place either *cough* Riders *cough*. It took a great show of belief for to trust in MOS and co. during the early part of the 2016 season.

It also goes to show how important it is to build your whole organization - Zach didn't want any part of coming here in 2014 - that's why we ended up with Willy. But you build and build and when he comes around the next time, we're ready to provide him a stable place with a supporting cast he hasn't had the chance to thrive in yet.

Any the ability of Kyle, and Ted, and Danny to just keep feeding us players. We are bleeding all stars to the NFL but keep churning out new ones. Our team should be gutted from the top down each year as teams try to copy our success, but we somehow keep everyone together (probably has a lot to do with the coaches salary cap, for those who hate it).

Loads of similarities to this team to the Bud Grants team runs.

Good coaching
Strong Canadian talented and depth
Same core roster year in year out
Good QB

It is amazing the Kenny Ploen The Quiet Hero is notes so many similar situations that we are currently experiencing.
