We got lucky on that Rhymes whiff.  Good coverage by Nichols.

Rhymes makes that catch in the dome, but not in frigid WPG.

Officials, commentators, and pretty much everyone here disagrees with your crummy assessment of that play.

Everyone should ask themselves, especially in this day of player safety, how a player can get hit in the head, knocked out, and a foul not called on the play. All this talk about concussions, and the impacts etc etc, and it still goes unpunished. Sad is was missed, sadder its defended. If you have played the game and been knocked out, maybe you'd have a different opinion on this.

Ya, Hall is making history.  Who can even remember the DC when WPG was winning all those cups in the 80's?  I don't.  Hall might have to be remembered as more than a normal DC.

A quick check of google the DC position really did not exist back in the 80?s for the bombers. Defensive positional coaches, but no DC. So not sure who really made the equivalent DC calls

Someone else already explained to you why there was no flag on the play.

Maybe pay attention to the discussion, instead of playing some holier-than-thou card and pining about when you played football decades ago. Nobody cares about your experience because it has nothing to do with what happened today.

Dd you're arguing the wrong point.  We're not arguing if it's unsafe.  We're arguing that the CFL doesn't call those as penalties.

Remember, on a play where the guy is knocked out for a while, the eye in the sky can call a penalty!  The fact EITS didn't call a penalty proves the CFL doesn't think this is a foul.  After the game start a thread and we'll discuss whether it should be.

If it?s not a rule, they aren?t going to make one up on the spot.

No one is cheering guy got knocked out, but football?s a violent game and sometimes bad **** happens.

Good thing Zach didn't hit his head on the turf there.  Refs taking Zach out of the game would be the ultimate screw over.
