Agreed.  They may have even won with that poor game plan if they had put Bo in earlier.

Also, very impressed with the owner of BC. He's done a fantastic job.

What a poor game plan for Calgary...unfathomable really, you would think Cal didn't even have a RB...

BC looked decent...but Rourke could hardly walk at the end, Butler was limping, and Cottoy went down at the end...

It's kid Canada vs. the real MOP Zach....
GO BLUE!!
totally agree. I do not understand what Dickie?s train of thought was on multiple levels.
Not running the ball
Pulling Maier earlier
Not taking the gimme 3 points gambling and losing horrifically
Did not use Mills at all, puzzling

I agree. Huffer gonna be asking Dickie some tough questions after this one. Calgary certainly has a way of stinking it up in playoff games.

Bo goes in after halftime and the Stamps would have made a game out of that.  He may have increased his ?23 payday, so good for him.

Mike Rose with two really unfortunately timed penalties that would have ended two scoring drives otherwise.

Don?t know how the Stamps didn?t run the ball more, and that horrific sweep to Henry on 3rd down was inexcusable.

Not sure what to think of the Lions.  It would honestly be better for the league for them to win the Cup, but I?ll take a selfish stance on that.  If Rourke doesn?t get better protection next week he?s in for a long day.

Told you guys CGY would come out with a pass-heavy plan!  They've been setting up the run-heavy look for 4 weeks, it was a setup to lure BC into defending the run.

The pass-heavy plan worked for much of the 1st drive and BC was caught off-guard.  But when BC adjusted, CGY didn't switch back to the run game like they should have.  You ride the surprise advantage as long as you can but then you need to drop it!

Dickenson The Greater was making horrifically bad decisions.  3rd & 1 and you drop back in the gun?  Just dumb.  And running out of clock at the end at the 1YL and you hand back to Carey instead of sneak?  They lost 5 extra seconds getting that non-TD.  Dumb.

Dickenson The Greater needs to move upstairs to GM and they should give Killam HC.  Dickenson The Greater has been making poor decisions for at least 4 years now.  He has no sense for when to gamble and when to play the book.

Ya, I'm a bit worried about that.  Refs could get a little BC-biased in the WDF as the league will be under pressure to have "Canadian Wunderkind" Rourke in the GC.

If I'm MOS, I'm holding that challenge flag until 1m to go in the 4th.  Need to keep the refs honest all game.

Even after I sit back and think on it, I just don't understand what Cal was doing....give BC some credit, but Cal. Totally abandoning the run game... I just can't understand ...its like a Olympic sprinter attempting to run race doing the triple jump..why change what got you where you are??

This is a thing the Blue Bombers coaching staff does so well. In game adjustments. This is why our 3rd and 4th quarter stats are so impressive.

BC was the hungrier team.  Morale was up with Rourke in there making plays.

From a WPG standpoint, this game was perfect:

1. The easier team to beat won (and BC doesn't know cold)
2. Butler majorly hurt and BC has no viable backup
3. Rourke clearly hurt and if VAJ comes in the WDF they lose

On the flipside, can't sleep on Hatcher, he'll be the key target.  Burnham was mostly used as decoy, something is still bothering him.  Rhymes was looking somewhat easier to cover, for some reason, maybe double coverage.  Rhymes is the big danger.

This could present a really problem for BC here next week.

BC is a dangerous team. Do not under estimate them like Calgary did. Their defense was wicked today. Calgary's offense couldn't keep up with Rourke's passing game, BUT, next week the game is played outside.....in colder temperatures.....and if you think your boo boos hurt now, wait until your outside with a windchill, that the Bombers will be practicing in.

BC's Butler is dinged up. BO is fresh and raring to smash it up. Collaros is healthy, Rourke is not. This should be a Bomber win, BUT remember 2001 and Marcus Crandal. I know, 21 years ago and it still stings!!

We should expect  a good football game and good things will happen. As a true Blue Bomber fan there is just no escaping a level of doubt. We have witnessed to many shocking moments to not be humbled along the way. Same can be said for just about any franchise in any league but especially the CFL. At least this team has the experience to draw from in the face of adversity, especially from last years WDF.

Schoen needs to work the judge machine extra  this week. Has he ever played in cold weather before?

PS Jorden is washed up and will not dress as a Stamp next year.  He was washed up in '19, but they kept re-signing him.  A rare bad move by Huffer.

Rourke can barely run
Remember Bobby Orr...when he played for team Canada on one leg he was still the best player in the world.   Rourke is a special player and even on one leg he passed for over 350 yards against a very good defence.    We will need to limit his play making abilities and Zach will need to have our offence humming.    Rourke was better than Maier and BLM today.....and the score showed it.

Beating BC this time around will require a complete team effort....and I still like our chances!   The score will be closer than it was today.    Buckle up Bomber fans....this is going to be a good one!

Calgary went in with the wrong game plan. They should have established the run early. They also made a couple bad play decision which cost them points and field position. They didn't play discipline football. The offside on third down was a major mistake. They also left Jake in too long.
Don't go through life looking in the rearview mirror.
