IMO the Stamps are the better team even having to play in Vancouver. Rourke didn't test his mobility much and that could be an issue. Stamps defence is solid.

I agree with your comments. Even though the game will be on a dry field under the dome I think the Stamps defense will give Rourke and company fits. And the Stamps offense is very very good. A solid ground game and good receiving corps.

I think it may be close but I think the Bombers will see Calgary in the Peg for the Western Final.

I don't think CGY is as good as people think.  I think '19 and '21 CGY were stronger.  '22 is very close, but not quite there.  BC also isn't that great.

Since I hate CGY at all times, I'd much rather BC win the WSF for the simple fact that if we have to lose the WDF, I'd rather see a GC that doesn't have CGY in it.

I think CGY has the experience, but BC has the hunger.  The vets like Burnham, Lee, Chungh, they are really itching to get to GC.  Burnham will run out of years one day, so he's really keen.

You'd think CGY will win, and that's what I voted.  But BC has something intangible that might let them pull it off.

Calgary or BC is no cake walk.  We are better than both but need to play.

CROWD NOISE will be important.  I know last night was not an important game and slammer crowd but holy cow Winnipeg wake up, support your team, make noise, wear leather gloves, bring noise makers and quit acting like Argonaut fans waiting for the next Maple Leaf cup.

Calgary will beat BC in a close and great game imo

TBURGESS

Calgary is the better team right now and they have the best run offence in the league. The way we gutted BC's run defence last night, their only chance is to complete a lot of deep balls.

I pay no attention to the BC we saw last night. That was clearly a tune up game, nothing more. Last possession will win it. BC at home, Calgary with the playoff experience. Too close to call in my eyes. Hoping for a physical contest and I am sure will not be disappointed.

Yup, I hope they beat the crap out of each other and the winner limps into IGF for the WF against a rested and ready Bomber team.

Game is over by half - Calgary dominates in a snoozer.  Calgary is the better team.

That being said....there is much riding on Rourke and missing half a season won't do him any favours against the Calgary D.   He is human, despite TSN treating him as super human!   His mobility may not be quite what it was prior to his injury and one quarter of play against us didn't really test this out.

IF Rourke can attain his magical form for this tilt the Lions have a shot....that's a mighty big IF.   Will be an interesting game to watch though!

That is how I see it also - I don't think Rourke will be able to avoid the Calgary rush. I think he may be a few deep balls off but over all I don't think he will be as effective as he was prior to his injury. And I believe the Calgary ground game will wear the BC defense down. Of note is that the BC defensive line is a little undersized. If they are on the field for extended periods of time by the time the 4th quarter rolls around they might be out of gas etc.

Yes I agree 100%. I just hope BC puts up a good fight and takes something out of Calgary for the WF.

I disagree I think it will be a blow for blow playoff classic. I think you are underestimating the BC Defence and overrating the Calgary Offence. Yes the Stamps a great run game but Maier strikes me as underwhelming lately.  I think it will be a final possession game winner.

I hope you're right and that the winner has nothing left in the tank for the WF. That's why you play to finish first. It's a huge advantage to sit and rest while your opponents beat the crap out of each other. The Bombers earned that right by finishing 15-3. What an amazing accomplishment and as Brady O said after the game, we still have work to do.
Go Bombers!

I think Calgary has a better OL and running game. Calgary has a better front 7.  Calgary also has a better return game. I think this might come down to who plays discipline football and doesn't turn over the ball. I would pick Calgary. My grandson likes BC right now and he's does the picking. Whoever wins it should be a good game.
