It's tough to defend Leggs after last night and I think we all know that it wasn't entirely his fault that we lost the game. There are dozens of plays we could look back on and say "if we did this we would've won", so let's not go that route.

The kick to win the game, I agree he should've just swung as hard as he could. But that hold was not there in time, or at least he didn't expect it to get there in time with a slightly off hold. It's arguable that the snapper, holder and kicker all had something to do with that miss... No excuses on the second one. That was all Leggs.

I still have 100x more faith in him as a kicker than I did last year, and he can continue to get better as the games go by. He is still considered one of the top 3-4 kickers in the CFL to this point in the season and I'm content with that. On top of that, his punting has been off the charts! He has done as good as we could ask him to do!

I'll stay in his corner this season

well stated....yet Winnipeg is the graveyard for many a kicker who later turned into an all star or played in the NFL....ie Castillo, Harjrallahu and a few others I can't recall at the moment.   He has the potential to be a great asset so give him a chance to blossom.

Ugly: Davis jumping into the crowd. A 33 year old failed starter and now short yardage, career backup with 20 int on 12 td. Really? He is the hero?

Davis? A joke as a QB. Found his niche as a short yardage guy.
Easy way to make his $75,000 Cdn dollars.
Thoughtful guy to jump into the Bomber crowd!  Good thing that one fan pushed him back off the wall.

In the same situation I would bet MOS would instruct his kicker to miss in purpose and just get the ball though the end zone...or punt it.  The single point is a legit point and a valid way to win the game.

I am disappointed MOS didn't have that at the ready last night.  They had time to discuss it.

The win was there for the taking when we didn't play very well.  It was bound to happen with the way the Bombers had been winning so far this season. They need some rest for sure but they got beat again on the LOS all game - much like the Calgary game at home, there Lady Luck was on their side - last night she was not.

The season isn't over the team needs to learn from this loss and feel the sting and understand that mistakes like penalties (no matter how small ) can impact a game.

ST coverage wasn't great and Winston rose was torched again...he made a great play later in the game but didn't play well at all.

Jeffcoat was invisible last night

We are going to need BC to have a stinker someone in their games so we can have a bye and the final here.

I find your narrative a wee bit on the negative side but you do present some interesting points.

Well winning has disguised a few things.

Grey can't play. He is a turnstile. Every play he gets beat. We will lose Zac to injury soon.
Leggio isn't a pro kicker.
The squad needs a burner.  Bombers wouldn't go deep Vs man to man.  Any team wants a recipe to beat the Bombers replay this Montreal game.
Bucks play calling has become stubbornly conservative.

I have been advocating for McRae( not McGhee) buck maybe is saving him?  Never the less, Bailey is a wonderful short yardage sixth option as a Canadian receiver.....oh but wait, he's a slow un open average receiver.  Good blocker...maybe try him at left guard.

Recently in the press a number of articles are stating OShea. Is loyal to his players.  Yeah so was Paul Maurice.  Some of these players shouldn't be starters

Very good points, but there is one thing you missed.

WE ARE 9-1 with this team and coaches, and were a kick away from 10-0

So, your doom and gloom are misplaced.  There is no team that has no issues.  Every team can have a DM83 poking at its flaws.  At the end of the day, we are in 1st, and doing great.
