Hold on we just spotted a guy with a Argos jersey on. First one of the day. Sure not like in Winnipeg on game day.

Does anyone know why they scheduled it this way instead of having a Saturday doubleheader or a game yesterday?
There was a TFC game on Saturday and because the stadium has real grass they had to space the games apart.

They probably wanted to market it as "Monday Night Football" to all the jokers in TO who still think they'll see an NFL team there someday.

Ryan Dinwiddie says Argos want to beat Winnipeg for star running back Andrew Harris

No kidding.  Wasn't it in TOR playing for TOR that SJ Green made his big comeback and had like 200 yards, 2+ TDs and a bazillion fantasy points vs MTL?

Looks like TOR likes to harness the chip these superstars have when playing against their old team.  It's a smart play.  If TOR actually gameplans around feeding AH (ground and air) then AH could have a record night.  Too bad we don't have Stove anymore...

Harris will pull his hamstring today and be on the IR after today?s game, and prove that Father Time always wins
To predict a players injury show you have little respect the amazing athletes of this league.  To suggest that father time always wins is twisting the knife.  Seen this type of rhetoric last year when someone was against Lucky and suggested that he would get hurt and then bragged about it after (hurt hand or wrist?).  I can't remember who that was but the attitude on here can be sickening and I would like posters to remember to treat the athletes with more respect when posting.

That makes sense. Thanks for the info! I can't imagine the league really wants random Monday night games otherwise.

Hey, the last couple of seasons we've had Tue and Wed night games too.  Now that is just downright wacky.  At least with Monday you can try to pretend it's still the weekend.

I read somewhere (maybe 3Down, but can't find it now) that they were also thinking about trying to boost viewership numbers on ESPN as it's July 4 down there.

Wouls seem to me a silly way to promote the league, showing American fans we can't get more than 5000 to a game.

Did you see the USFL Championship Game?  They actually had blimp shots of the stadium.. not even 1/4 full... holds 23k...

But hey, being the only league active on the 4th of July... maybe it gets us some eyeballs...

I watched a few minutes at the beginning and maybe the last 2 minutes to see who won. Also was curious to see how many fans showed up. I suppose there could have been a bunch of free tickets too.

Again, this appears to be a horrible non money making business model. Now I'm just wondering when we'll hear if there is a go forward plan or not.

I agree. It's been very disappointing listening to some posters almost wanting A. Harris to fail because he's no long on our roster. Yes father time catches up with everybody eventually.

We have about 8 players on our 6 game IR including some that were injured in 2021 or during TC. Time is not the only factor in a violent sport. There are over 100 players across the CFL on various IR lists.

Many of them are RB's including Stanback and Wilder on 6 game IR's.

Thanks for the support on this issue.  Good points on the injury lists.  Its pretty sad how people have commented like this about Harris.  Seen this behavior before from some on this forum when players leave.  Ah well, perhaps by speaking out about it, maybe people will change!

Who snubbed who? The Bombers to AH OR AH to the Bombers, I say the latter. AH got upset because the Bombers asked him to work out, really??!!
