My wife, 9 yo daughter, and I will be in Calgary for this game so I'm curious if there are any suggestions on where to sit in the stadium (which I know is nothing spectacular) and other stuff to do in the area game day/pre-game. The hotel we're staying at is walking distance - or at least appears to be.

Any info is appreciated.

It will be fun!  They all poo-poo McMahon but I like the nostalgia aspect.  And there's some darn good low&slow BBQ going on in that stadium (often in the EZ areas).

Anything between the 30's on either side is good seating.  Because it's a flat/straight design it's all basically the same.  The nosebleeds are a little far back, but not really worse than IGFs.

If your hotel is in "hotel row" across that Trail highway then you're golden.  Just walk to the pedestrian overpass.  My only advice is when you head back to the hotel, turn right in front of the strip mall right after the bridge, where there's some restaurants, etc.  Don't go behind the strip mall and walk the alley or you end up 15 feet lower than the hotels and can't easily climb back up!  Made that mistake once.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

I like going/staying there.  The fans are very nice.  Everyone is laid back; they all arrive late.  Chat them up.  I can't offer more help as I don't live there!  I just have visited a lot lately as our team seems to often WSF/WDF/GC there for some reason.  Cheesy

There are at least 2 live-in-CGY fans here... give them 1-2 days to see and reply.  They'll be far more helpful than me.

Best thing to do there is have fun.  I'm jealous you're going, I'd love to be there.  P.S. The Rock Cafe at the Best Western has killer chicken fingers, so says my son, same age as your daughter.  The pizza stunk though.  Dad likes the burgers.

A few tips and suggestions. Don't try bringing in a flask of booze hidden in your sock. A few years ago a friend of mine made it in with one, but when he was discreetly  pouring it into his coffee the binocular police saw him and he was ruthlessly ejected. They are watching every move from the camera hidden in the large speaker hanging over the stadium.

Go to Lake Louise if you have a day.
