Anyone else find themselves thinking, let's get Harris and Adams back. We are just a shell of ourselves.
Poor Rasheed, he hasn't stepped up at all. Is he getting the defenders best covering him? Maybe.
Nope. Thinking we need someone to replace Desjarlais, and when Alexander comes back our D will respond just like it did when we shifted him to safety. Remember our D before Alexander went to safety??? We re looking at it right now!!

I would bring JA in on run plays (run), bring BO in on pass plays (block). Do that for 2 Q. When they adjust at halftime, switch them around a couple of plays then do it all again. Mess with their heads.
Or just do what we all say and run with JA for 80% of the snaps.
BO is the better blocker (strong showing in week 1) but JA had a couple of good blocks in week 2.
Yes DM, should have kept AH, and that is the correct call until AH ends up in the tub for an extended period, then I eat crow. We're suffering like this for a measly $40k in offer difference, and AH likely would have halved that had we been "respectful" (in his eyes). BO doesn't know how to "fall forward" and thus loses the "free" 2 yards extra every touch that AH gets. JA just uses his speed and slipperiness to get that extra 2.
Hey, you want something interesting, watch how MOS treats AH on the sidelines in GC '19 vs '21... world of difference. "Love you man" in '19, crickets in '21. AH was inadvertently burning the Mafia bridges for all of '21, I think. They never got over his not showing up in shape and missing half the season.

The AH33 boat has sailed... ironically to the guys with the sailboat on their helmets! I would add he didn't make it through the whole game, he's in the tub with "a tight hamstring"... I say that in every yoga class and I'm 63 years old, I'm pretty sure its an age thing because no matter how much I stretch I've been saying it for a very long time now. When your star running back is on the sidelines in the 4th Q because he is engine is feeling tight that might be a sign that the stars brightness is beginning to fade, and a supernova event is on the horizon.
Jet fighter pilots and athletes prove on a daily basis that the mind is much stronger than our physical bodies, it will keep going and not quit long after the body has stopped answering the bell.

Techno and Jesse, good points
I'll throw this out there. I wonder if they bring Andrew back here at the end of the season? His eyes look defeated. He ran good though, proud of him Brady has been a little disappointing. Like many I am thinking Augustine offers more of a challenge for a defence. The Canadian in Hamilton looks real good also, except he seemed to blow a couple receptions that eventually killed Hammy. Hamstrings, I found out are not something that will loosen up if ya work them.
Once you get a twinge, you have to sit out and wait till its "no pain" then you can work out gradually. That's been my experience.
But yeah, I was thinking with Andrew, "Here we go again"
I think he and Brady are too big.

The Good Bombers are 2-0 The running game picked up in the second half Collaros started spreading the ball around the second half
The Bad Defense still needs to gel Giving up to many long bombs The kicking game definitely needs to improve
The Ugly Commentary during the game instead of during halftime or a break. I don't mind the commentary but show me the game that is actually playing!!!
I was fuming mad when they were showing highlights of Brad Sinopoli instead of the actual game as it was happening... TSN's insistence to interview people in the booth while the game is on is just dumb IMO. Keep that stuff for intermissions.

That's why the NFL's Hall of Fame game is in pre-season.

Agree, that was stupid. Suits loves that kind of stuff.

AH33: I recall people here saying $160k TOR and $120 WPG offer. No way TOR is paying AH $225k when they know he would come there for peanuts (just gotta beat WPG's offer, treat him nice and say "no workout"). If the numbers are anywhere near what I've heard here... well, I won't repost my feelings from the other threads. Even $160k vs $100k and we suck up and play nice and sweeten the offer $130k, we likely would have landed AH. I think it's pretty clear Mafia wanted to move on. Maybe/probably for a myriad of reasons. If nothing else, the AH situation is complicated. Oh, the tales MOS will be able to tell (if he wants, probably won't) after he is long retired...

It's not just the difference between our offer and the Argos offer. It's the domino effect across the roster. Whether we paid him $120K or $160K, where would we have trimmed that elsewhere from the roster. It may have cost us one of the other 2 Canadian RB's ( $90K ) and some other player making more than an ELC.

If the Mafia wanted to move on, they would not have asked him to come in and work out, or made him a sight-unseen offer that was fair under the circumstances, but insulting to a proud player.
The fact that his hammy is already tweaked and Dinwiddie said it has been bothering him all spring that a workout probably does not go well. He maximized his pay this year by snubbing the workout request and getting someone else, Pinball in this case, to sign him, knowing he might be damaged goods, just in case. What surprised me was that Chris Jones wasn't in on the bidding.

That's not the point. If roster size was bigger and SMS was never a question, we'd probably liked to have kept D. Adams, Richardson, Jones, Lawler and A. Harris on the roster. Every player you retain has an impact on who else who can keep. It's business and I think the point of an insulting offer to a player ( in theory ) is over stated by many posters. So is the idea that he's already nicked and that is solely due to his age. While it might be true it might not. Calgary lost 2 RB's in their last game. They may or may not be lost for an extended time. At this point we don't know if A. Harris will end up on IR or not as well. Young players and old players get hurt. It's been pointed out that the Als and Redblacks also lost their RB's right off the bat.

You were right about the 165 (according to 3downnation anyway). But Harris was on record as saying that we were offering him less than Brady and Johnny who make somewhere around 100 each.

Yes, that would have been nice. But with the salary of WJ5, AB4, also resigning JJ94, ZC8, both with nice increases, adding GE2 at $170K, and then there is Mr. Rose and Wilson. There just isn't enough money to go around. Happens to every championship team in every sport.

Not saying he is already nicked due to his age, but that he might already have been damaged when he signed, and that was why he refused a workout. Harris has always been a workout fanatic, until he got married. Marriage / fatherhood changes a lot of priorities, and we know he came to camp last year in awful shape, although he managed to turn it around by season's end, just in time. If the mafia were OK with that happening again, and confident he could repeat that, I'm sure they would have signed him first. And tehn chosen between BO20 and JA27, and if the odd man out wanted to stay for league min with the thought of playoff money, we;d have all three. But the possibility that the GC run had been tough on him, and that he might not be 100% (no one would know better than the WBB training staff), and the mafia wanted to confirm that he was either 100%, or was on track to be,,, a player has to accept being put on the 6 game, and that's the nlny place you get SMS relief, so if AH33 signed for $130k, and then sat on the 1 game for half the season... not only do you not have your starting RB, but you are also bleeding SMS... If AH33 is 100%, we find the extra $30k to sign him every day of the week.
