Might have been something I said. It wasn't that I thought he didn't play well in 2021. It was more about so many draft choices and needing to find room. Generally that means older blue collar players that are older will face stiff challenges in TC.
He's also 32 and has some wear and tear on his body. 7 seasons in the CFL and back to back Grey Cup wins is not the worst time to consider retirement.
Certainly he has valuable experience and leadership. Whether he wants to return was part of the thought. The fact he's been missing TC is a bit suspicious though.

I can't remember who but someone was a little critical of him last year when he rotated and comented they could see the drop-off from our other starters or depth players
