You may be correct, maybe it is just not showing on the CFL Website yet.

EDIT-- Both Holm and Green ARE listed on the roster for tomorrow's game.

Apparently he had to go deal with a personal matter, but is expected back soon

He's out of town dealing with a family matter.

So you put him on the suspended list and can keep another player around in the meantime.

That's good to hear about Briggs, a couple suggested they either didn't expect him back or didn't want him back.  Key depth guy in my opinion.

Jessie signed a new contract in January so I am pretty sure he still wants to play. As far as any one not wanting him back?Huh? That's news to me.

It wasn't a question about Briggs directly. It was more a matter of up and coming rookies, roster space, SMS, age etc etc. Briggs is a decent back up with experience.

BO20 is pretty high on his UND team mate, Evan Holm.

I liked what I saw of him at the game, his return was quite nice.  Tough to make the roster as a backup with his passport, but I can see him being offered a PR spot at least...

One of the mods suggested that he would be challenged to hold his roster spot and another poster wasn't big on his play last year as well.  I had suggested in the off season my support for his return, there were a couple folks that gave their opinion.  My memory is bad can't remember who.

Yeah that jogs my memory now!

Might have been something I said. It wasn't that I thought he didn't play well in 2021. It was more about so many draft choices and needing to find room. Generally that means older blue collar players that are older will face stiff challenges in TC.

He's also 32 and has some wear and tear on his body. 7 seasons in the CFL and back to back Grey Cup wins is not the worst time to consider retirement.

Certainly he has valuable experience and leadership. Whether he wants to return was part of the thought. The fact he's been missing TC is a bit suspicious though.
