This Canada, no one gets serious prison time (although he should) especially if he is a 1st time offender. IF found guilty and depending on the severity/events that took place, the most he will get is 2 years less a day (Provincial time).
That is not accurate. In 1985 the Supreme Court said the starting point is 3 years for intercourse and it has gone up since then. It depends on on the facts how high it goes. Things have changed even more after ghe Ghomeshi and Friesen cases. There have also been significant changes to the law.
